Ffffffff, that made me so inescapably sad. Mission accomplished! I love the way it feels absolutely inevitable, how every new paragraph was just as hard-hitting as I wanted it to be in my head. And the art was such a good complement! I love, bizarrely, the folds of Arthur's clothes.

I have stinging tears in my eyes from this. You've managed to allude to this being Arthur's fault with no explanation, but none is needed. Does it even matter at this point what happened? It's clear they're not going to fix it; whatever hurt has happened is enough to make them call it quits.

This is so raw and painful. Beautifully done.

And the art! I love how the red swirls echo the emotion in the boys, and the frowns, the hurt, the gripped sheets. ♥
