Seriously, Dave Grohl is the man. He makes me wish I had any musical talent at all. All I would seriously do all night is just play myself songs.
Went to the Wang theater last night for a foo fighters acoustic show. Absolutely unbelievable. When I saw them 3 years ago at the Fleet Pavilion, it was absolute chaos (in a good way). Those two shows are probably my 2 favorite concerts, but for 2 totally opposite reasons.
As some (none?) of you know, the Wang Theater is a smaller, more intimate concert venue. Much more personal. Just Dave Grohl, sitting on stage, telling jokes, and swearing like there's no tomorrow. There were 8 or 9 other people on stage, playing various instruments. Very well played. Just the kind of music you could shut your eyes for 2 hours, and relax to. There were only two problems:
- $7 beer
- No air conditioning.
You'd sort of figure the first one, which wasn't really that much of an issue since it was hot as hell (see: the second issue).
But yeah, Foo Fighters... the man. I would definitely go see them if they ever do another acoustic show in Boston (hell, it'd be worth traveling for). I would definitely spend the money to get as close as possible too... damn.
Nothing else really new. Work is work. End of the month is crunch time apparently. Medico is turning old soon. That should be fun. Once you do 22, there's no turning back. Heh, I just realized 22 is Wily Mo's number.... that's random. Next time he hits a home run, watch him sideways-shuffle around the bases.... hilarious.
Also, if a snake were to become a doctor, it would obviously be so smart as to be able to create prosthetic shoulders for its stethoscope to hang from. Obviously.
