Star wars character you are most like: Obi Wan Kenobie
What is Your Star Wars Horoscope? You know, they kind of lose their geek quiz cred when they SPELLED OBI-WAN KENOBI (no "e"!) wrong. I kind of considered fixing the HTML code so that it was spelled correctly, but it's more funny to see that the creator of a Star Wars quiz can't spell. *facedesk* And shouldn't that "You convey the art of persuasion through force." actually be "through THE Force"? Trust me to pick apart the inaccuracies in a blog quiz probably made by a 15 year old fangirl who just saw Revenge of the Sith cause Hayden's hot. (Not that there's anything wrong with that. He IS hot. Like whoa.)
So, where did we last leave off? Oh yes, I went to the Kelly Clarkson concert. Had a blast, as I mentioned. This week's been rather crazy at work as we are closing July and this week was "Board Week" as we announced our second quarter earnings, had Very Important Meetings, and did our company wide earnings call. Dude, I'm an accountant and that shit puts me to sleep. Spewing percentages means absolutely nothing to me unless I can look at the hard numbers to back it up.
In other news, I thought I had only two more payments on my laptop, but, since I did WAY too much shopping last weekend (though, thankfully, for stuff I actually did need), it looks like the last payment will have to be in October. :P Since when I applied for the laptop I was No Credit Girl (not bad credit, just really nothing to speak of) I got, no shit, 29.9% interest. And I am trying to pay that bitch off as quickly as possible.
God, I sound so boring. I'm actually very happy right now. I really really love my job. The people I work with are amazing, and I keep finding myself wanting to pinch myself to see if it's real. I feel like I'm waiting on them to tell me, "Sorry! We really don't need you anyway!" and I'll be back at a place like my last job where I was soul-suckingly miserable. It's nice to work for a good company that is stable and has people that I like and bosses that I can admire and respect and trust to back me up.
So, how are you all doing?
