Matt and I are both firefighters...
The other day at school, matt and i found out about this company that is hiring firefighters to go to Iraq to fight fires. The fire house is located on a base, you do not leave the base without military escort. For one year, you are paid $94,000, $80,000 of that which is untaxed. Food and lodging is free. Everything about that seems great, except the fact that you have to be in Iraq. Matt really wants to go for the money. He is finding all of the information about it and he is going to send in a resume. I told him that i really dont want him to go. He asked me if I would wait for him, and of course I would. He said that he can't pass up that money and that he wants to provide for me. I told him that i didnt care about the money, I care about him. But it just doesn't seem to phase him. It is so un-safe over there, i just don't want to lose him. Am I being selfish?
