Hi,

The first thought that came to my mind upon reading your post was--could you be asexual? It might be something to look into.

I think it's fairly normal to not feel sexual passion right away. Everyone is different and while some people experience explosive chemistry or sexual tension right off the bat, it doesn't happen to everyone. Sex drives vary from person to person.

Just continue to keep an open mind. If you like spending time with a girl and you like her personality and think she's attractive, then see where it leads:) There is no pressure! Don't worry about sex right away and don't let anyone pressure you to feel any different.

If you continue to feel like it's holding you back, then maybe you should see your doctor. I am not saying anything is wrong but maybe there is something else going on. or they may suggest you speak to a sex therapist. This could go in just about any direction, it can't hurt to pursue your options.

I don't think there is any one way to tell when you'll become sexually attracted. You may never feel that way. Or maybe you just haven't dated, or gotten to know the right person.

Good luck!

~Becky
