I am now part of a newfangled music blog co-created with some of the good dudes at ABS forums (Intergeek stuff don't worry about it). The premise is simple: contributors post one of their favorite albums once a week, including a link to download and a little synopsis. Each member generally listens to a different style of music (electronic, metal, rock, post, indie (myself), jazz, punk, industrial, hip-hop), so I'm really enjoying it as a means to educate myself. Probably won't bear much fruit, but it's certainly fun.
http://songsfromtheroad.blogspot.com I've posted two (under the alias 'Advent'): Patrick Wolf's Lycanthropy and Andrew Bird's Armchair Apocrypha. Too fun!
I truly can't stop listening to MGMT.
On a related note, I'm finding most of my new music from KEXP's Song of the Day podcast. So yum.
I really had something else to say but I can't remember what it was.
