This morning Fionnuala picked me up, but it turned out that the gaelic class was canceled. I was really disappointed. After this week I only go to Cumann Gaelach once a week because classes start. She said she'd take me another time if we could fit it into my schedule.
We went on to St. Eugene's and worked with the children there. There were no children from Scoil Naomh Brid (just St. Eugene's and Ebrington) so it was smaller than before. I sat with a group of girls and worked with them. When they found out I was from the States they told me where there relatives in the States were. They knew about five states and keep asking which of the five I lived in. The popular guess was Minnesota. They'd never heard of Connecticut, but New York did the trick.
Fionnuala and I went to lunch at the Sandwich Co.
We went back to the office and I spent the afternoon working on the computer. I'm putting together a booklet with photo's and phrases of the children interacting with each other. I gave Eibhlin my first draft before I left and she was very pleased. I think I'm some sort of genius on the computer because I can lighten photographs, remove red eye and play are with fonts. Making the cover page was a little more difficult. I had to put the logo's of the programme sponsors on the bottom of the page and I had a bit of trouble with that. I got it all figured out, though. I'll have it done tomorrow.
I walked home. After I got off the bridge, it started to rain. Luckily, I remembered my umbrella. I came straight to the computer lab at Magee. I opened my backpack and found a small puddle of water. It soaked completely through my wallet. Gross! I'm going to lay everything out to dry when I get home and hope it isnt ruined. I'm just glad I had my phone and my iPod in my pocket. I can probably save all the contents on my wallet, but the wallet itself may be ruined. So sad.
I haven't got any plans for tonight. My sore throat came back this morning, so I may stay in.
