Oh hey there!
Did you know that it's New Year's Eve?
True story.
As a special bonus, it's also New Year's Eve at the end of a long decade, the 00s. When this decade started, Adventure Man! was hardly adventurous at all! He was a kind of socially awkward teenager in the tenth grade who didn't really know what was what.
Somehow, over this ten-year stretch, that little boy grew up into the sort of man who is married to the love of his life, has a beautiful dog, sometimes works in way-neat museums, writes plays that people really like, tries to write a novel that he hopes people will really like, and takes part in all kinds of wacky hijinx!
There are all sorts of really fantastic and wonderful people in Adventure Man!'s life, many of whom are probably reading this entry! You guys are cool! Adventure Man! has been lucky enough to make lots of friends, and spend time with many rad individuals.
It's true that the A-Man is usually most happy while he's in school for something, and that he's not currently in school for anything. But y'know what? Sometimes it takes a little while for opportunity to knock. You just have to do the best you can with what you've got, whether that means making the most of the good times while you have them, or fighting your way through the bad times to make things better.
Wouldn't it be neat if the next decade was full of growth and awesomeness just like this one? Wouldn't it be better still if that weren't joined by constant financial peril?
