I have been possessed by the idea of the Jonas Brothers and Panic at the Disco meeting somewhere. Hell, I just want them to see each other, and I don't know what I'm expecting but goddam I've been trawling the internet's underwear for something anything dear God but alas my powers of hax0rz do not amount to much and once again I am left bereft in my own madness.

Hetalia (made up of the words for useless + italy) is the story of the countries of the world made into people, carrying with them that nation's stereotypes. The main setting is the WWI/WWII era, but other scenes from history (such as the American Revolution) are sometimes depicted.
The story is centered around the Axis Powers, and the main character is Italy, who is a clumsy idiot who loves pasta and pizza. He is joined by the serious sausage-eating Germany and the polite and shy Japan. It is a gag manga that takes pieces of history and makes them funny, poking fun at the stereotypes and quirks of countries around the world. Because of this, fans say that this manga is the key to world peace. :P It at least certainly made me more interested in history.

Apparently, Studio Deen (the people who did Jigoku Shoujo, Furuba (yes!), GetBackers (well), Gravitation (eww), Tactics (uhm) and Vampire Knight (EHK)) is going to be the one to produce this. Qualitiy-wise, that ain't so bad but I'd rather Studio Bones handled this. Then again, they might surprise me with this one.
And just for the sake of celebrating, I present to you the cast of Axis Powers Hetalia! Ignore the dansen, please.

Also, Sweden gives me a raging woman boner. So does Greece. And Japan. And reverse trap Hungary. And okay fine, I am not adverse to being in a troika with Egypt and Turkey. And shit, Prussia and North Italy too.
Goddammit. Now I'm confused as hell.
