week 266: colour splash || submission
Oh wow, can I finally put the new theme up today without it stopping me? I do hope so.
Anyway, your theme of the week is colour splash. This means that your icon needs to be greyscale with just a splash of colour that appears on the original picture (eg. if your main subject is a person the eyes or hair or something like that could be in colour.) Get creative!
Your icons will be due by Monday, August 01 at 10 PM PST.
1. You must be a member to participate/vote.
2. You are allowed to make two icons for this challenge.
3. Your icon must meet LJ standards (100x100 max, 40KB max, JPG, PNG, GIF). It's not my rule, it's LJ's.
4. Your icon must feature something related to the movie.
5. Do NOT use fanart or doujinshi. It gets complicated.
6. Do NOT use another's bases or someone else's icon. Get creative--don't resort to thievery!
7. Try not to make your icon too sexually explicit or use really harsh language. It's fine in moderation, but don't overdo it.
8. Try to submit a recently made icon.
9. Stick to the theme!
10. Do not use/display/advertise the icon until the challenge is over. It's only fair.
And follow this format when submitting:
