I love them for John, the notoriously shy about admitting feelings and stuff guy, being supportive of Ronon, even if he would be, you know, gay.
I love them for my very own interpretation of John thinking, "You know, while we're talking about non-weapons and non-sports related things... I've somehow fallen in love with Rodney and would really like to talk about it, because I think it's beginning to drive me crazy."
And I love them for finally acknowledging something other than the heteronormative world we've seen in the Stargate universe so far (unless I really totally forgot something here). And also because I feel that in a way it acknowledges us (as in fans who see gay relationships as a part of their view of the show).
