1 month, yesterday....
So yesterday was one month since my Dad's been gone.
When he was in the hospital, we had time to talk about...well...random things.
I asked what his favorite movie of all time was.
"The Man from Snowy River."
Since I had never seen it...I went & got a copy.
It's a good movie...
I'm glad I asked :)
Today, as a bit of hommage...
I'm going to make 'animal pancakes' for my breakfast :)
My Dad used to make pancakes for me in the shapes of animals on the flat griddle that he looooved. Horses, rabbits, dogs & cats, even dinosaurs when I went through a paleontology phase.
Hell, he made them for me as an adult whenever I'd visit :D
The trick is to make the batter a little thinner...pour the main shapes, and then drizzle details on the pan with a spoon. (actually, if you want to get REALLY spiffy...you can drizzle on a 'smile' or smaller details on 1st, then pour the big stuff)

I so miss him.
I still can't believe that he's really gone sometimes.
