They're called cherry blossom trees.

Ahhhh? Sakura! They're the cherry blossoms trees associated with Japan.

It's said that their blooming marks a period of romance, festivity, and great mystery.

Really? That's kind of cool actually.

Isn't it? Lovers and good friends try their hardest to take a few hours off and find a spot under the sakura together. Since the viewing is at its finest for only about two weeks, there's quire some competition for places, in popular cities with little greenery, like Tokyo.

There are a ton of them here... But that sounds like a good idea though, sitting under one.

[Ryan returned from his run to find Summer gone. This wasn't entirely unusual since Summer does have a life in the City that doesn't include him 24/7 but he's still vulnerable and insecure and worried about Summer disappearing. After a shower, a cup of coffee and still no Summer, Ryan goes searching for her.

When he finds her in a copse of Cherry Blossom trees, he just watches her for a moment. Part of it is relief that she's still here. Ryan is a creature of habit and change doesn't usually work out well for him, with the exception of the Cohens. She also looks so happy that it brings him to a full stop. She hasn't been happy here in the City; she hasn't had much reason to be happy. If trees make her happy, well that's enough for him.

After several seconds he steps closer, a ghost of a smile on his face.]

Not sure palm trees will ever seem the same after this.

[She almost jumps when she hears the voice, so distracted by staring up at the trees and smiling and talking on her device that she didn't notice him] Ryan! Hey. How was your run?

I know... It's awesome. [She glances at him finally, really looking at him and smiling. It's been hard to be happy, it's been hard to even smile sometimes. Things had been scary, Cohen and Taylor were MIA and all she had was Ryan. And she hated leaning on him too much, she didn't want to be like every girl in his life, she didn't want him to feel like he had to save her.]

It's like... the best thing to happen in months. And I'm waiting for them to like... eat us.
