"It's only forever, not long at all"

Laptop saga continues - my credit card has not yet been charged for the order I placed on Sunday, which means there've been 49 hours since I placed the order, and more than 24 during the business week. This does not bode well. I have sent them an email asking why I got 2 order numbers, why both of those order numbers have different but equally incomprehensible "order status" pages, what the statuses mean, and how I go about cancelling an order. Because they are making me nervous and I don't like it. Don't buy from Datavis.com, people. Just fyi. Am going to go to Newegg again as soon as I hear back from Datavis (or tomorrow, whichever comes first).

In the meantime, I have returned some stuff to Kohl's (a khaki option I didn't use for the We All Match Clark Family Portrait, which was my mother's doing), bought Chrono Trigger for the DS because I never played it and figured this was more convenient than trying to find a Playstation copy, and dropped off my favorite ring (blue topaz cut into a star shape) at Engstrom's to get the setting changed little so it didn't look quite so dimestore/kiddie. It's been a productive day! I forgot my checkbook leaving this morning, though, otherwise I would also have gone to the bank. I guess that's what tomorrow is for (before I have to go back to the dentist to fill the tiny cavity they found at my appointment yesterday argh).

In other news, I'm feeling incredibly impatient about this laptop business because IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE ALREADY. There's no way for me to explain how frustrating this experience has been for me. I will never use PayPal again if I can help it. I am going to delete my account from them and only go through the non-member checkout when ABSOLUTELY necessary. That never gave me a problem before. I shall just have to pay everyone else in cash, because I cannot support PayPal anymore. I wish there were a way for me to log my feelings with them that would actually get anything accomplished. After all, why should they care that they have repeatedly denied me completely legitimate actions, without any satisfactory explanation, and this time without any explanation or notice at all? They still get tons and tons of users who don't complain, so what's my money to them? ARRRRGGGGGHHHHH it makes me really, really angry. I wish I had some sort of violent outlet right now, like a boxing class or something. I want to inflict pain. Yeah, yeah, first world problems and so forth, but that doesn't make it less frustrating, especially since it's mostly the complete soullessness of PayPal's behavior that makes me so angry. Oh, well - I guess the internet is people, too. Terrible, lying, horrible people.

rant, random, tech
