In local news: the job is going well. I've been meaning to write something about it, but I haven't done much yet, so I was reluctant to post a three-sentence blog entry.

So I've only really been to SF twice, but my favorite things to do were to visit the chocolatiers (Scharffen Berger and Ghirardelli in particular), just walk around the streets (the change in scenery alone from TX to CA is breathtaking), eat at Chinatown a LOT (well eat a lot in general - there are also some pretty amazing breakfast cafes . . . my particular favorite was a place near Chinatown called Roxanne Cafe), hit up some of the bars, and go to a Giants game (which, of course, you can't do right now). If you need to get around, the BART or Muni will definitely help you out. Oh and make sure you pack lots of warm clothes - when I went in July I almost froze my ass off at night.

I'm sure all this stuff was covered in some guidebook or other; it's just what I enjoyed.
