Back story: Little tiny grease fire, resulting from remaining grease in oven on "clean" cycle. Random home-ec-y website suggests salting the hot grease to make it easier to wipe off.
Problem: Need to reach most of arm into still-hot, recently burning oven. Oven mitt insubstantial, and short.
Solution: Welding gloves.
