A bit too much domesticity and wasting time on the internets today, really. I've cleaned my room, done laundry, and managed to rescue a new shirt from laundry hell, at the expense of at least one other... GRRRR. I bought a damn drying rack specifically to avoid accidentally tossing my favorite sweater in the dryer on the hot cycle. Wah ( Read more... )

Y'know, it would be nice if there's some sort of balance between clothes like that and the "mary-like modesty" types.

I enjoyed that site. I'll try say why. I enjoyed it like I enjoy art. I enjoyed it like I enjoy bad B-movies. I enjoyed how alien it made me feel and yet not alienated. I imagined living in that world and how utterly alone I would be. It made me think of other people who I would never fit in with, but I still enjoy who they are (as opposed to that site that I don't fit in with and like much either)

It made me think of lex-of-green whose journal I now visit regularly to see if she's posted something new. she found a similar site ( ... )

First~ exercise...I think you have the basis covered. I would say the lowest impact against your knee...most likely water. So swimming. Here is a link for pools (which you most likely have) http://www.seattle.gov/parks/pools.asp.

Also you could do one legged bike riding at the gym.

Websites like that are very interesting and my feminist self debates whether women really want to wear it or are wearing it for someone. But then I remember everyone has that *thing* (whatever it may be that works for them) but then the question is...were they socialized to think that *it works for them* .....hmmmmm.
