Evidence that I am wildly un-used to civilization1:
I wanted to check the hours at the Hopvine, but briefly dismissed the idea as impossible, or at best I'd have to find a phone and call information and maybe get their number that way. I wholly forgot that I have at least three ways of Googling that without leaving my seat at Remedy. (I was sketching, at least, and not using any of the several machines in my immediate reach.)
Being able to look up simple things like that is startlingly efficient. I'd ask, "how did we ever get on without Google and Wikipedia?", but the answer is simply: poorly.
1 Civilization, hell. I'm still really excited about darkness. Watching the full, bright moon rise over the darkness of the Port last night was one of the singularly radiant experiences I have badly missed.
