I'm going to skip the company Christmas party tonight; it's the wrong environment.
Had a fabulous day with
staxxy. It was an in-town road trip; drove many roads I hardly ever use, and learned more about how Seattle neighborhoods connect together. Among many other lovely things, we discovered a purveyor of the AMAZINGLY SHINY: Rhinestone Rosie, a costume and vintage jewelry shop on 6th and W Crockett in Queen Anne.
If you frequent bead stores, think of what it is like to stare into the table full of Swarovski crystals; walking into the place is about like that.
There's a watch necklace with a very peculiar watch... the face is a fairly boring faux mother-of-pearl watch, but the reverse shows the whole works under a glass dome. I'd wear it reverse-side-up. Watching it tick makes me intensely happy. I cannot justify owning it at all, but I wantses it. I may have to go back there to play with it again.
staxxy also bought me a Christmas cookie cutter in the shape of a dove.
I still haven't properly slept since getting up for work yesterday morning. Sometime soon, I hope.
