man shall not live by breading alone

Charlie's on Broadway is not an Asian restaurant. Not even close. Do not order the tempura. Todai or Blue C will meet all your tempura needs handily, and they will serve a delightful ginger-soy dipping sauce, not malt vinegar with extra salt. And they will have edamame for when your tongue finally cracks under all the MSG.

Finally found an actual copy of The [Psychology|Design] of Everyday Things* at Capitol Hill Twice Sold Tales. It's kind of like any book ever written by Hofstadter: near impossible to classify. Only took three used bookstores, the upshot of which is that I own a few other books I wasn't really intending to buy. Um. VICTOLY!

Also, I finally read Harry Potter & HPB, and I am sad but not impressed. That story was told almost entirely in the last hundred pages, so I wonder what the first six hundred were for. Also, her third-person storytelling has grown markedly lazy. The last book better rival The Iliad at this rate.

Roommate overly fascinated by the touch-light feature on the floor lamp. Oh.. dear.

*Everyone knows it as Design, but apparently it was first published under Psychology, and this allows Norman to make goofy acronyms like "POET". Anyway, the older edition was $1.50 cheaper. Yarr.
