If you are receiving this letter, then I am no longer residing in Adstringendum. I only regret it more for the fact that I never was able to truly atone for my actions. If I ever return, then I will have forgotten both the good and the bad. My brother...

You will always be my brother, memories or no memories. I refuse to accept anything less, whatever the supposed 'rules' of leaving are. I will not relinquish something that has meant so much to me as our relationship. You are important- No. I love you, Riku, as my brother and my friend. Take care of yourself in my absence and do not forget to sleep.

I have left you something with this letter; a keychain. I do not know if it will function, but at the very least it will serve as a remembrance.

[The keychain is in a box with the letter. Apparently Sephiroth managed to find one of those specialty letter openers made to look like a katana, and got it unbent and restored. The 'blade' has been cocooned in green glass, looking a bit like materia but probably melted and reshaped from a bottle, and the actual keychain bit attaches to the hilt.]
