RE: LJ changes and December AC

As you may have noticed, Livejournal made a few changes recently. These changes have affected not only the way comments look, but many aspects of RP and how it functions on Livejournal. As such, in order to preserve the look, feel, and most importantly, function of the community pages, we have implemented a format that mimics, as closely as possible without LJ's provided S2 style, the old format of comment pages. (Please note that in order to do this we have "upgraded" the comms to Plus accounts, which means advertisements. So please, if these bother you at all, consider updating or look into getting adblockers for your browser.)
This is considered a short term solution by the mods. Longer term solutions to these problems, should LJ not provide ones satisfactory to the community's needs, are being considered. Among these proposed solutions is the possibility of moving to another journaling site such as Dreamwidth, though it would not be right away and would only happen after much discussion between the mods and everyone in the game. This is only one possibility at this point. Other possibilities, among them an official fix from Livejournal, are also being considered. Any decisions regarding Adstringendum's continued presence on Livejournal will not be made until after the new year, at the earliest, nor will it be made without consulting you guys in the form of polls, discussion posts, etc.
In light of all these changes in LJ, the adaptations we are all having to make because of them, and the general busyness of life around this time of year for many of us, the mods have decided to waive AC for everyone this December.
