Summary: Sasuke is staying with Itachi, but Itachi is hearing voices neither of them want to deal with. On an expedition to pick up earplugs Itachi makes a detour to drag Alphonse back home with him for a sleepover. Ensue chaos and fluff and what-the-fuckery.
Finding earplugs had been amazingly easy. Itachi had a whole bag of the things in his possession now, tucked in one of his sleeve pockets. Earmuffs had been harder, but he'd found something possibly better; headphones and one of those little music players. Itachi hoped it had some music on it worth listening to, and that the battery was not so warn out that it would give before it could help Sasuke.
One last thing, then, to pick up before he went home.
Itachi entered Al's room from the window, scorning the door and the fact that the window was on the second floor. It wasn't as if second story breaking and entering even required ninja skill. Of course, any thoughts of being stealthy would have to be shelved, at least for this week. The voices were still haunting Itachi in the background, the scene had changed, currently it was a younger sounding Sasuke screaming bloody murder at him. He remembered the scene from barely half a year ago.
"I WILL KILL YOU!" And then Sasuke screaming in sheer, soul-crushing agony because, and Itachi knew because he'd been the one there, Sasuke was being mentally tortured. Again. By Itachi.
"You're weak. Why are you so weak? It's because you lack... Hatefulness." Much as he hated the voices Itachi ignored them, did not even flinch as the Sasuke-voice whimpered like a pitiful broken thing.
Itachi climbed through Al's window, feet touching the floor silently as he focused, looking across the room at Alphonse, taking a moment to assess the boy's state before stepping forward. He wasn't going to make it a choice, Al was coming home with him, it just depended on Al making it easy on him or not.
