Urahara had long since fallen into the habit of keeping his reiatsu cloaked, no matter where he was. It wasn't hidden, there was no need for that anymore, but the familiar presence of it was muted, controlled, disguised to appear as much less than it actually was as all upper-level shinigami had trained themselves to do. But he took no distinct measure to hide himself from Unohana's notice (not that any such matters would have worked with her), and approached her with the usual faint clicks of his geta, a gentle hand on her shoulder and a light kiss on the top of her head.

"Good evening, Retsu-san~"

She smiled to herself as she felt the presence approach, and the smile widened at the kiss and the gentle touch.

"Good evening, Kisuke-san... My my, you seem to be in a good mood tonight."

She winked at him and got up, chasing the dust from her haori.

"Shall we ...proceed, then?"

He grinned back at her, offering one arm out for the healer to take before they started on their way towards Ukitake's house. Not that it would take them very long. "Is Retsu-san saying that I'm usually not in a good mood~?"

Ukitake could indeed sense Unohana's presence nearby, the realization bringing a smile to his face. He always liked knowing she was close, not just because of her healing skills, but also because he genuinely liked spending time with her. He had an idea of why she was close to his house, but he still grabbed his coat and scarf and headed to the door. Even if she might have been coming to see him, he could still make an effort to greet her.

Once outside (and he second-guessed his choice to come outside at all in this cold), he began to sense Urahara's reiatsu, as well, though much more controlled than Unohana's was at the moment. Yes, he definitely thought he knew what was up, then. Burying his face into his scarf, he looked down the road and waited for them to arrive, or at least pass by.

"I am only saying that you are in more of a good mood today, Kisuke-san. Looking forward to something, maybe?"

It indeed did not take very long to get to the house, and while Unohana was not the happiest seeing Ukitake outside, at least he had had the good sense to put on a coat and scarf before coming out.

She waved at him from were they were.

"The pleasure of yours and Jyuushirou-san's company is more than enough to put anyone into a more pleasant mood than usual~" Urahara replied cheerfully as he also waved at Ukitake. He glanced at Unohana briefly in a silent communication between flash-stepping towards where Ukitake was. "Happy birthday, Jyuushirou-san~♥!"

As they approached closer, Ukitake raised a hand in greeting, as well, smiling behind the scarf. He always took pleasure in their company (unless, of course, they were disappointed in him for being foolish, but he was getting better about that!) and this time was no different.

He then pulled the scarf down away from his face, showing off his smile. "What a pleasant surprise to see two of my favorite people in this part of town. I hope you aren't just passing through."

Unohana approached at a more sedate pace and when she arrived, stood on tiptoe to kiss Ukitake on the cheek.

"Happy Birthday, Juushirou-san."

She looked at Urahara with a mischievous grin.

"Ara, are we just passing through, Kisuke-san? I must say I had other plans."

He met her grin with a thoughtful, pondering look of his own. "Passing by? No, I can't say that the thought crossed my mind. In fact, now that I think about it, I feel a little cold... Oh, if only there were somewhere nearby that I could warm myself up..."

They were being playful, something that Ukitake could get behind easily. The easiness between them made him smile more and he absently reached out to each of them, wishing to take a hand in each of his. "Hm, can you forgive me for selfishly hoping that I factor into your plans, Retsu-san?"

Ukitake then moved to nuzzle against Urahara's cheek for a moment. "Oh dear, we can't have that." Joining in on their mischief, he looked over his shoulder, back at the house. "Something tells me it will be warm and comfortable in there."

Unohana easily caught the offered hand, and smiled mock-indulgently.

"I guess I can forgive that as long as you offer us shelter and drinks, Juushirou-san."

Another side glance at the last member of the trio, and her smile widened.

"And we might have to make sure that Kisuke-san doesn't get any colder than he is. We cannot have that, can we?"

Humming at the nuzzle, Urahara turned his head quickly to steal a quick kiss before taking Ukitake's hand as well. Eyes widening innocently as he looked from his lovers to the house. "Well, if it's warm and comfortable, I certainly wouldn't say 'no' t-to--"

A small, faked sneeze interrupted him mid-sentence.

"To that. I don't think we'd want me to be laid up in bed, now would we~?"

Ukitake grinned at both of them in turn, answering Unohana, "I think I can manage that much," before leaning down to kiss her cheek. He let his lips linger for just a moment before turning back toward Urahara to listen to what he said.

That sneeze, however fake it may have been, frightened him for a moment, however. He was used to being in poor health himself, but seeing others suffer always made him worry. Luckily, he realized it was an act and let out a short, relieved breath. He gently squeezed their hands and then dropped them, walking to the door and holding it open so they could come right in.

But he gave them a playful look, one that held promise of less-than-innocent intentions. "I think that wholly depends on what kind of laying would be in store. Wouldn't you agree, Retsu-san?"

"I am quite sure that we can find some ways to make laying funny if we really put our minds to it ... or maybe minds is not what I am thinking about," Unohana answered, her voice as good-natured and happy as she was commenting on the weather.

She stepped inside, following Ukitake's lead, and smiled.

"Have you gotten some gifts already, Juushirou-san?"

Stepping in after Unohana, Urahara easily helped Ukitake out of his coat, hands sliding along the scarf and tugging on it to gently pull the man down that small distance for a proper kiss, even if their lips were slightly cold from being outside.

What better way of warming them up, no~?

But he broke away soon enough, hanging the scarf up before moving to stand behind Unohana, arms slipping around her waist as he rested his chin on top of her head.

"Yes, do tell~♥ Has the birthday boy done anything special yet?"

He quickly closed the door, happy to feel the warmth of the house overcome the chill of the outdoors, but then stopped moving so Urahara could easily take care of his coat and scarf. Ah, but was it really necessary to tug that much on it-

...Oh. Oh, yes. Definitely necessary.

He smiled as Urahara moved away and it only grew as he watched him embrace Unohana. The comfort between the three of them grew stronger the more they all interacted, which pleased Ukitake. It wasn't easy to have two people to love when he was used to only dealing with one significant other before this, but moments like this made it all worth it.

"I have," he answered. "Kyouraku was kind enough to make me lunch and gift me with some sake. You could say I've been positively spoiled."
