Today, Ami and Usagi have apparently decided to get reacquainted and, evidently, to relax; they can be found in a park-like area in the main parts of the town, at their ease and dressed as warmly as possible. The PCD happens to catch a glimpse of their antics, until it times out:
Bundled up and cuddled up underneath the torn awning of an empty building, Usagi took shelter from the snow flurries that no doubt preceded the storms and blizzards that were soon to follow. The books left behind in Ami’s room were mostly those that had clearly been read before - if not necessarily by herself - evidenced by the dog-eared pages sandwiched in-between those which were worn and faintly yellowed.
She was a wordless figure, eyes failing to rise from the pages to make eye-contact with her blue-haired companion just meters away. She chewed on the bottom left side of her lip momentarily as she turned the page, stopping immediately as the thought crossed her mind that it would only cause more chapping.
Ami’s blue hair made a pretty contrast against the white snow as she wiggled to make a snow angel, and giggled at the effect. She was clearly in her element, boisterous and loud. “Come on, come on!” she called up to Usagi. “You have to come, too! You can’t just sit there and do math in the snow! You have to do this. Or at least a snowman!”
As she chided Usagi, Ami somehow managed to sound put out. Even her voice was slightly strident, and if she were standing up, she’d have had her hands on her hips. In fact, she already was getting up. And yes, Mizuno Ami, school genius, was stalking right over to Usagi to grab that book from her hands.
