Summary: Morgan gets all up in a Bugbear's business and Romulus keeps him from dying. :|b
Morgan had been scavenging. That's what people did in this place, right? Picked the bones of this crumbled remnant of a city clean to survive? He was hungry, cold -- and he was pretty sure that the roof to his apartment was about to collapse in on itself. (Not that he was any expect at assessing architecture or a building's infrastructure, but it looked like the roof was definitely sagging, and the beams seemed weak from water damage.)
And there he had been, scavenging innocently, kicking through a pile of rubble when he had disturbed - something, some sort of hulking monster and oh god he swears that thing hadn't been there ten seconds ago. Morgan stared at it in gaping, mute amazement as the creature swung its arm, catching him in the chest, and he was vaguely aware of himself shouting as he flew hard through the air, slamming solidly into the wall and crumpling to the ground. Winded, and his entire body was worryingly unresponsive.
Fuck, he thought. Someone should have warned me about those.
