The problem with trashing the city streets was that it was inevitable that he would be noticed. He didn't care though. Let them come.

Pigs to the slaughter.

Blaine knew that it probably wasn't a good idea to leave Solve, even if he wasn't very far from the house, but he needed some fresh air. He could still see Solve from where he was, so he figured that he was safe where he was, that if there was something dangerous out here he could easily run home for help. But so far, there was nothing around him.

Nothing, at least, besides the various graves that he passed every few feet. Some of the graves consisted of names he didn't recognize, others were names that were very familiar to him. Names of the Warblers, of his family, of Rachel, of Kurt...the list went on.

It wasn't very long before he began to hear the sounds of destruction rampaging through the streets near him. Just hearing sounds like that made him freeze and the hairs on the back of his neck to stand up. Whatever was over there, it didn't sound good or friendly. Maybe it was a good time to go back to Solve.

"You."

No, it definitely wasn't friendly. The voice was cold, a bitter and calculated anger. Without warning, a trash can lid went speeding through the air like a deadly frisbee aiming to behead the boy. Only after did Killua become visible.

"You'd do it. To get back at us. Don't bother pretending. Where is he?"

Blaine threw himself to the ground as quickly as possible, dodging the projectile at the very last second. If that had hit him...who knows what condition he'd be in right now.

"W-what?" he stammered out while trying to catch his breath. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Paranoia was a frightening thing. It had saved his life in moderation. Now it warped even his closest friends into something else. Something dangerous. They were trying to stop him. Why? This was Gon they were talking about. Why would they want to keep the two apart unless they were the ones who had separated them in the first place?

Backstabbing bastards.

Killua didn't even get the warning sound of fluttering robes before Snape landed in front of him, Erebus by his side, pressed against his leg before he quickly moved away so as to not disrupt Snape's magic if he needed to warp out of danger. Snape, himself, was no longer in his signature black robes, but instead in the loose trousers and shirt he favored when it came to fights.

"That's enough, Mr. Zoldyck."

The situation needed more than a few punches and an embarrassing transfiguration or two this time, and it had forced Snape to reach out to others for their help. Just for that, Snape owed Killua at least one good punch when he returned to himself.

Raven was already standing next to Killua when Snape appeared. She quirked a quizzical eyebrow at the outfit but refrained from making any sarcastic comment. Now was not the time. So she only nodded, showing she was ready to fight as well. Still she turned to Killua. She wasn't looking forward to this fight. At all.

"Killua," she said in her usual flat voice. "You need to find yourself back before you can look for someone else. That's what we're here for. Now the question is: do you want to do it the easy way or the hard way."

Somehow she already knew what the answer would be. That's why Raven rarely gave this kind of warning. Except to people she truly cared for. And Killua was one of them. Despite what he seemed to think right then.

Negi was't far behind Snape. He landed next to him, keeping his defenses up at all times. After his previous encounter with Killua, he wasn't taking any chances.

This wasn't going to be easy, in any sense of the word. He'd fought both with and against Killua before. He was strong, and a formidable opponent. Negi was just happy that they had the same elemental affinity - he should be fairly resistant to lightning, but at the same time, Killua probably would be, too.

...Well. This was familiar territory. What sort of stupid stunt were they trying to pull now? If they thought this would get him to talk, they were sorely mistaken. He'd escape, and then he'd turn the tables.

That was how Gon would have done it.

Snape was seated across from him in the basement when Killua returned to consciousness. His shirtsleeves were rolled up partway, not high enough to expose his Dark Mark, but enough to get them out of the way of his hands. The equipment of Sherlock's abandoned lab was pushed back behind him as he looked up from his book. Closing it with a snap, he slowly stood up and set it aside, eyes flicking over the magicked chains to make sure that they would be enough to hold the boy.

"Awake again, Mr. Zoldyck?"

It was a good thing they were enough. His first action at hearing Severus' voice was to push forward with all his might, pulling at the chains as if their continued presence would destroy him inside and out. He glared at the potions master, defiant and angry. Was Gon in a similar position right now? He'd never wanted the other boy to experience anything like that.

A part of Snape was highly uncomfortable with the sight of Killua chained up in a dark and dank basement, the part of him that acknowledged that the family event had happened oh-so-long ago, the part that knew full well the feeling of cold metal digging into pale flesh. And not only did he know the physical side of being chained up, but he also knew the mental strain of it. The helplessness, the anger, the need to break free and tear something apart just to reassert control, even the anguish that someone else might be in the same position and suffering the same thing.

He knew what it was like, and it was with that in mind, he deliberately met Killua's glare and slipped inside his mind. The sooner he managed to fix what the Animus had done, the better.
