When: October 1st, late at night.
Where: The old movie theatre/Rachel Berry's theatre.
Rating: R for death.
Summary: Rachel needed some time alone after all of her friends decided to go crazy for the week. It's too bad she was found by the wrong crazy friend.
Rachel shoved the scaffolding over with a huff, sweating at the exertion. She had been at this for hours -- putting the final touches on what was necessary to complete the basic set design on her stage. It was nearly midnight -- 11:43 PM, actually -- and she knew she needed to go home... but she didn't want to. Not quite yet. Not while she had work to do. Or something to keep her mind off of the event.
She wasn't often left unaffected, but when she was, she hated it. Every single person she cared about, for the most part, save for Kurt and Quinn, were absolutely off their rocker. Anna was threatening people, Raphael was out of her mind -- God apparently didn't care, which was lovely to know --
Her fingers trembled on the cold metal, and she kicked it into place with a furious 'thud', before she raced off-stage, grabbing a record to put on the player she had set up off-stage. She hadn't quite managed a speaker system yet, but -- it was loud enough for her to hear, and the acoustics of the theatre cast the music around easily enough, and when a snap of her fingers to keep the beat, the music of Cheap Trick flooded the stage. It only took a moment or two for her to bounce from foot to foot in perfect time with the music, and Rachel skipped backwards, and the simple happy tune of the song immediately brought a smile to her lips as she sang along.
It wasn't hard to keep Rachel happy. -- or, at least, content.
It would work for at least three minutes, anyway.
