Characters: Yuca Collabel and Kurotsuchi Mayuri
When: BACKDATED, to Saturday, Sept 23rd
Where: Kurotsuchi's lab
Rating: PG-13 for potential goreybits.
Summary: Kurotsuchi decides that it's time to experiment on Yuca a bit more- and they're both curious about his soul. So he makes him into a shinigami. Temporarily. Hey, what could happen?

If working with Yuca wasn't quite second nature, it was more than familiar by this point. As independent as either of them were, Kurotsuchi didn't mind the more convenient assistance- and if the company was another bonus, he didn't really think about it. At the very least, it wasn't a bother.

And since he wasn't in the middle of anything in particular (organization, maintenance- necessary, if dull), the shinigami actually looked up at him.

"What is it?"

Yuca watches him for a moment with a slight little smile before taking a few steps forward, so they weren't talking to one another from opposite sides of the room.

"You mentioned turning me into a shinigami, temporarily. I'd like to try it now." He yawns. "There's not much else we can do today, and I'm curious to try it- if you're willing, of course."

That caught his attention at least, and Kurotsuchi stilled. It hadn't been an offer that he'd made lightly, and it was true that the more he thought about it, the more interesting it seemed, despite the temporary personal drawbacks-

And once he made a decision, he wasn't one to regret it, or be hesitant about it. So after a few seconds he nods, setting back the few things he was reading, and stretched slowly.

"If you're interested, today is as good a day as any." Glancing around, he nodded towards the staircase, before heading up, explaining as he went. "I don't know how you or your soul will react to this treatment. I'd rather you not lose control in the middle of my lab."

Yuca follows him quietly, a little nervous. In truth, he wasn't sure what to expect- but like Kurotsuchi, he didn't often regret his decisions, especially not minor ones like this. If it turned out badly, he would simply die and move on. He had that option.

"That makes sense," he replies quietly when they're halfway up the staircase. "Would you be able to explain the process to me?"
