[And Katara is waiting for Suki at the door, pulling it open and getting ready to greet the other girl -- before realizing that she's in tears.]
Oh, sweetheart.
[It comes in a sort of surprised breath, and Katara is lunging forward, grabbing her in a tight hug before she really has the chance to say anything else.]
[And Suki didn't even bother with words. Right when she was in Katara's arms, she clung to her friend and just began to sob. Spirits, she was in so much pain right now. She probably look like a mess, but she didn't care. She was a girl with a broken heart, she was allowed to be like this.]
[Katara just holds her friend for a few long moments, before drawing her inside and shutting the door. She leads her to the kitchen table, struggling to make a mental inventory of the kitchen. Do they have tea?]
Maybe you're right. Maybe this is for the best. [She really does agree, but she's just in a lot of pain right now.] My head seems to know that... [And she just rest her hand on her chest, almost in pain.
I can't say I blame you. [Katara smiles a little wryly at her.] Hey.. at least it's better than the two of you being hopelessly in love and the Animus sending him home, right?
Oh, sweetheart.

[She let her hand linger on Suki's shoulder, before hastily moving to make her some tea.]

[She starts a small pot of tea.]
Maybe it's for the best.. one of you two might go home any time, and then you'd never see each other again.

[She slides the tea onto the table in front of Suki.]

I was wondering, would it be alright if I stay here?

[Katara huffs softly, as if she wasn't even considering otherwise.]
