As he walked into the waste, he was careful, keeping his foot steps light. He could still remember the last time he had been here with the other. They had fought, but it had been nothing more than a spar. And now, if his words couldn't break through, they were going to fight again.
His PCD was safely tucked in his back pocket where he could easily reach it, with the person he was prepared to call's name already drawn up on to the screen, so all he would have to do is press call. The shield that currently contained Sango was held in the back of his mind, keeping the walls in tact. Keeping her safe.
It didn't take him long to find him, and once he did, he simply stood, ready for whatever was going to be thrown his way.
"If I didn't know better, I'd say you were running away."

"It's good that you know better, then," he replied calmly, Masamune still sheathed at his side. "There is no 'away' here, only 'towards'. Towards Mother and the world I should be in. You could come with me. Mother would accept you with open arms and truly make you my brother."

He took a few steps, watching the other carefully. At least his weapon was still sheathed, not drawn and ready to attack. "I know this isn't really what you want, Sephiroth. Let me help you get away from her."
Reply
Yeah, the drama wasn't really all that much like the Sephiroth Riku was used to, was it? He gestured with one hand frustratedly as he began to pace.
"Why would I not want this? To go to the Promised Land with Mother, to rule as we were meant to from the beginning..."

"I don't need your kind of power. I have my own." His power was in his heart. It was in Sora and Kairi and Mickey. It was in Terra and Aqua and Ven, the ones who had come before. And it was in everyone he had met here who he had come to care so much about.
"Because you once told me you didn't want to be a monster. What do you think this makes you?"
Reply
No. He wasn't a monster. Mother whispered to him, guiding him to understanding. A god could never be a monster. His hand fell away, dropping to the hilt of Masamune.
"I am Mother's chosen successor. I will be a god."
