Juliet had just lowered her arm from waving farewell to the child when Tybalt turned. She swallowed, trying her best not to seem too nervous. Although, how he couldn't hear her heart beating like a bird's wings against a cage, she didn't know.

"It - it is not a common name in Verona, no."

Her fingers tighten around the PCD in her hand unconsciously.

She was temporizing. He knew it, and it only served to heighten his anger. But he keeps his voice low as he asked, "And what would the family name of this particular Romeo be?"

He knows the answer, but there's part of him that is still clinging to the hope he's wrong. Because if she confirms it, it will be something beyond betrayal. A direct hit on his heart and soul.

God, but he was angry. Just as she knew he would be. She shrank back against the wall, her eyes never leaving his. It took a long moment before she was able to even whisper her reply.

"M-montague."

A nearly primal growl filled the room, and it took Tybalt a long, long moment to realize it was coming from him. He took a step forward. Just a single step, because he didn't trust himself to move any more than that and not grab Juliet by the front of her dress and do... something he'd end up regretting. He wasn't even sure what it would be.

"And when," he asked, voice harsh and still dangerously low "Exactly did you marry the bastard?"
