As it was Hinata was already inside, putting down the flowers that Hanna had helped her find. She had expected to feel Galahad's presence, but she then remembered that he was technically dad and as such no emitting any chakra. She had activated her Byakugan, and released it as soon as she saw him approach.

She slid one of the shouji doors open and smiled.

"Galahad-kun ... in here."

He smiled and nodded before walking inside. Curiosity won him over for a moment or two as he looked around the place. It was always interesting to explore new places. He wasn't here to give the place a once over though and he looked over at Hinata.

"Thanks for inviting me here." He nodded towards the flowers, "Those are very beautiful."

"Hanna-san and I j-just picked what we could find, but I'm sure we can so something r-really nice!"

She turned around to take some kunai from her weapons pouch, since she didn't have any other knives, and gave a small start.

"I f-forgot ... It's a bit rude to ask, but do you eat or drink at all? Shall I make some tea, or ...?"

"Well they are very lovely." He moved over to kneel next to her to watch and potentially learn a bit more about how to arrange flowers. He had read many a book, but none on flower arranging.

"It isn't rude at all. It's quite alright. No, I don't need anything. Thank you for offering. If you would like some for yourself, feel free to make some. Don't let my inability stop you." He tried smiling to be a little more reassuring in his words. They were true, he just didn't want to make her feel bad.

"I-It's fine, I was just ... wondering."

She lined up the kunai, and then some bamboo shoots to use as vases.

"Okay, so usually, ikebana is ... it's about appreciating nature and using the plants' natural shape to create something harmonious. I-I guess, for now ... you don't need to think about rules or anything like that. Oh, and you don't need to put many flowers or plants, just two or three is fine, as long as the final shape ... means something to you."

"Alright. But if you ever feel the need then just go right ahead."

He looked between all that was laying before him. He supposed he could start with the colors he liked. Making a shape that meant something... What shape would be significant enough to mean something? Perhaps it was just a feeling one got while looking at the final creation? He looked over at Hinata, stopping himself before he got too carried away with his train of thought.

"Could you show me an example?"

"O-Okay ... O-oh, and you don't have to use just the flowers. Leaves or stems are a part of it too."

Hinata took one of the bamboo shots and cut of a part to use as a vase. had this been real ikebana practice, there would have been some beautiful vases made of precious ceramics, but this would have to do for now.

She selected a few branches and flowers and took a deep breath, closing her eyes before stating to arrange them. She took her time, marrying the colors and shape. It might not have been anything her teachers would have complimented her on, but on the other hand, it was more about finding peace inside and creating something beuatiful than following a strict set of rules.

When she was finished, she stepped back a little.

"W-What do you think?"

He sat and watched her carefully, curious as to why she wasn't even really watching what she was doing. Despite it being just flower arranging, he got the strangest sense of spiritual calm from the entire arrangement, including the one who made he. He just stared for a moment or two, not entirely sure of what he was feeling.

"It's beautiful." He reached out and gently touched one of the flowers, "Do you do this kind of thing often?"

"I learnt when I was little. It's ... soothing, I think. For a moment, there's just you and the plants, and the image in your mind. Nothing else."

She knelt down a bit further away.

"W-Would you like to try?"

"The fact that you have stuck with it for this long is admirable." He smiles before looking at the arrangement once more. He nodded slowly, not really looking at Hinata but trying to understand how he could pour his feelings into the plants and their shape.

"I would. How do I begin?"

"D-Don't think about it like there's a wrong or a right way. Just do ... whatever you feel like doing."

Hinata smiles.

"What colors do you like?"

He nods. That sounded like a good idea to him. He would just...go. Do something with his hands. It seemed productive.

"I like orange. Red is nice too."

"They go well together. A-And ... you can chosse some light leaves with a bit of yellow to complement them, or a really dark green to make a contrast ... see ?"

She held out a kunai so he could cut the stems to the length he wanted.

He just listens and nods as Hinata talks him through what would make sense in the bouquet. He took to kunai and carefully picked the contents that he wished to use. It took him about fifteen minutes to get them to stay the way he wanted and when he was finished it didn't exactly look professional, but he felt a sense of pride having been able to complete it anyway. He smiled over at Hinata.

"This is kind of fun."

Hinata's face lit up at this comment.

"It is, isn't it? A-And you can do some for friends too, or just to put in the house. If you keep the flowers watered enough they can last a really long time."

Seeing her excited made Galahad smile. She looked so very pleased. He wondered why she wasn't this happy more often. Perhaps it was how shy she was.

"They look like they would be a wonderful touch in any home. Give it a little life, a little energy. I know I would be overjoyed to receive something like this as a gift."
