Was Snape pleased at having to track Black down when they had already agreed that Black would contact him when he wished to be exterminated? No, he most definitely wasn't. Just like how he wasn't when he had arrived at the clinic after several hours of not hearing from the arrogant Marauder, only to find that somehow, the mutt had managed to slip out without detection.

No, Snape was not pleased. In fact, this most recent turn of events combined with the mental scars from last month and now his seemingly designated role of being the called upon murderer for the ease and convenience of others... Well, 'not pleased' probably did not accurately reflect how very displeased Snape was. He was actually quite angry. If he were a lesser man, he would be raging right about now.

But, he was Severus Snape, so there he was, tracking Black through the city until he finally came to a building where there was an indent in the ground as if someone had curled up there. Black, on the other hand, was no where to be seen, and Snape could feel his teeth grinding together in irritation. And perhaps a little fear, though he would never admit it.

Where was the prat? If he attacked anyone...

The newly turned zombie could smell the fresh flesh when it started to come closer. He stopped in his tracks before slowly turning around and making his way back to the spot where he had been reanimated.

The man was in sight and that was good enough for him. He was starving and this man was in perfect hunting range. He staggered closer, letting out a groan as he approached Snape from behind.

Snape was hard to sneak up on in the best of cases. The staggering and groaning were more than enough to tip him off, but then the stench of rotting flesh had to hit his nose and Merlin-- rotting meat was still one of the most disgusting smells he'd had to deal with in his almost thirty years experience with potions.

So he turned, face scrunched up due to the smell, circling around so that his back wasn't to the wall as dark eyes studied the discolored, rotting, obviously dead visage of Black. And believe him, he was committing it all to memory so as to provide Black with a little welcome back present. It should be amusing to see his reaction, considering how vain the man was.

"And you say I need a shower, Black," Snape remarked dryly as he lifted his wand and cast 'impervius' on himself to prevent infection from blood splatters. "Of course, you can't actually hear me, can you?"

Snape would get nothing in response. No witty comments or sarcastic remarks. A groan escaped the zombie's open mouth, decaying lips stretching to show off most of his teeth. A trail of drool dripped out from the corner of his mouth.

Now that Snape knew that he was there, it would be harder to catch his pray. With a burst of energy (one that would no doubt slow him down in a moment), Sirius lunged forward, teeth bared and ready to take a chunk of flesh out of Snape.

Scowling, Snape dodged out of the way, glad he had changed into his fighting clothes before coming. He really didn't want a mass of rotting flesh getting tangled up in his cloak. Turning, his eyes narrowed, and Snape cast stupefy on the zombie. The spell worked on Inferi, but this was a different world, a different reason as to why corpse were reanimated. And besides, Black was a wizard turned zombie, he didn't know if his magic was still lurking beneath the surface, just untapped and uncontrolled now that the brain was essentially dead.

The spell hit him with full force, but it did nothing more than push him back a few steps, dazing him for a few seconds. Once he shook off the initial effects of the spell, Sirius took another step forward, dragging one of his feet as he went this time. Another meal had appeared, increasing his hunger and desire for flesh.

Going after the newcomer could be easier. As he moved, he changed his direction slightly so he was dragging himself toward Harry instead of Snape.

"Either draw your bloody wand or bugger off, Potter," Snape snarled as he quickly placed himself between Black and the Boy Idiot, a frown creasing his brow as he tried tying the zombie up this time, but if the stunning spell didn't work, he didn't think that would work either. "I'm sure you would rather I not have to kill you as well, if only to derive me of that pleasure."

Like the last spell, it didn't do much other than slow Sirius' approach. The boy may have been backing up, but the other had drawn himself closer to the zombie, making him an easier target. He lifted a decaying hand, so that when Snape was in range he could grab the man before trying to bite him. It would make it easier on him if Snape's struggled as little as possible. He was still fairly weak and there was none of his kind around. Despite that, the zombie could still take down a fully grown man as long as his bite made contact.

Harry obviously didn't back far away enough in Snape's estimation, and he whirled around, his wand flashing almost too quickly to be seen, sending the boy flying into some nearby bushes. In the same, fluid motion, he swung back around, wand directed at Black as it slashed once more through the air.

Sectumsempra!

The irony of his using this spell was not lost on him even as he quickly threw up a shielding spell to keep the blood from splattering onto him while the head spun through the air before landing on the ground with a wet thud.
