Blaine was, probably for the first time in a few days, sleeping. Though even in his sleep, he was propped in a chair by Kurt's bedside with his hand loosely holding onto Kurt's previously limp one. He was so exhausted that even the slight jerk of Kurt's body coming back to life could not wake him.

Even with sleep, he still looked like he was a mess. He had barely left Kurt's side during the last few days and the only times he did leave were when he was physically pulled from the room. He had showered maybe once or twice during the few days and he had eaten only a few more times than that. His hair was greasy and ungelled and there were dark bags under his eyes. Not the most attractive look in the world.

It would have to be up to Kurt to inform Blaine that he had returned.

It took Kurt a full five minutes for his brain to catch up with him, for his eyes to adjust to the dim lighting the early hours brought, and even longer for him to even realize that he was just laying in a bed, staring at the ceiling. He could feel Blaine's hand resting on his, could feel the warmth from his palm, the gentle twitching of his fingers in his sleep, and ultimately... that was what had him turning his head, staring blankly at Blaine for a moment before something just... clicked.

And suddenly, the entire past week came flooding back. The event, Blaine's reaction to it, Cameron... oh... that's right... Cameron.

His hand tightened on Blaine's as he blinked against the tears stinging at his eyes. He'd died on him. On his boyfriend. During the week he was supposed to protect him. So, he cleared his throat, trying his best not to have his voice be too scratchy.

"Bl... Blaine..."

The slight shift of the others' body and the sound of Kurt's voice is able to bring Blaine out from his slumber. He seems a bit disoriented for a moment, opening his eyes partially and rubbing them with his free hand. It takes him a moment to realize that the hand he's holding is warm, and not from his own body heat. From then on, he realizes that Kurt's moving, speaking, alive.

He immediately jumps in response and leans forward to get closer to Kurt. He doesn't want to do anything that could somehow hurt Kurt in his fragile condition.

"K-Kurt...you're back, baby..."

He can't stop his tears from falling down his face. Though this time, they're coupled with a small, sad smile.

The sight of Blaine crying had his breath catching in his throat, had him blinking back tears and forcing himself, really forcing himself to get up a bit, struggling a bit until he was propped back against he headboard in a sitting position, a little short on breath, but otherwise fine. Sore, but fine.

"Yeah, I... I couldn't just leave you alone, right?" his voice is a little shaky, the smile he gives Blaine in return a little watery, but he isn't crying just yet. He's still in the mindset of the event, still determined to be strong, to-

... Wait. Wait. Blaine just... he just called him baby. And suddenly, Kurt just looks even more choked up. "It's.... it's past Sunday, isn't it?"

Meaning he has his boyfriend back.

"C-Careful, Kurt!"

He gets up from his chair and tries to help Kurt sit up (though Kurt is nearly all the way there when he reacts) and get comfortable in his new position. He remains standing by his boyfriend's side, keeping his grip on Kurt's hand.

"I was hopeless without you, Kurt..."

He sighs sadly before leaning down to kiss the top of Kurt's head, possibly getting a few of his tears to fall on Kurt.

"It's Tuesday."

"I doubt it was that bad," he says, trying to ignore the fussing for the moment, even though his hand tightens on Blaine's a bit, trying to reassure. His words say one thing, but his heart is screaming the opposite. He knows, somehow, from where Blaine'd fallen asleep, from the state of him, those bags under his eyes, the hair, the clothes... he knew the last few days had been hard on him. That Kurt being dead had been hard on him.

But then, the kiss to his head happened, and that coupled with the affirmation that yes, this was after Sunday just... hit him. He felt like he'd been punched in the stomach, all the air knocked out of him all at once. And all of a sudden, he's reaching up, his hand scrambling for a grip on Blaine's shirt a bit before he gets one and pulls just crushing their lips together for a short, desperate moment.

"I missed you... so much."

Because while Blaine was Blaine no matter what... his boyfriend not even knowing who he was? It had been hard, to say the least.

And besides, even focusing on this was ( ... )

Blaine let out a soft gasp as he was pulled toward Kurt and collided with the others' lips. He was frozen for only a brief moment before he kissed back hungrily. It had been nearly two weeks since he had last been able to kiss Kurt like this. He had missed this so much...he had missed Kurt so goddamn much.

"I'm so sorry, Kurt...I'm sorry I couldn't protect you."

He knew how long it had been since he'd been able to kiss Blaine like this far too well. The past week, before his death, had been torture. He'd wanted nothing more than to hold his boyfriend, to run his fingers through his hair and sing comforting words into his ear, to be able to just lean down and pepper kisses over his face. To just be in love with him.

Which is why he's reaching the hand that'd been clutching at Blaine's shirt up to wrap around the back of his neck, pressing firmly against it to keep Blaine against his lips for a moment more, not caring that they were trying to talk through the kiss. He wasn't letting him get too far away.

"No... no Blaine. It wasn't your fault. I.. shouldn't have gone out," he relaxed his grip a bit as his fingers started to tremble a little against Blaine's skin, and he pulls back in order to give the boy a wide, bright smile. "Welcome back, Blaine."

Totally forgetting that he died right now.

As the kiss continued, Blaine decided that it would be more comfortable for both of them if he sat on the side of the bed, facing Kurt. He does just this, leaning into Kurt's touch as much as possible.

"If I hadn't been affected, I could have stopped you from leaving."

When Kurt pulls back with a smile and welcomes him back, Blaine can't help but let out a sob.

"You're the one who should be welcomed back, Kurt. I...I wasn't the one who went anywhere."

Ohhh no you don't, Blaine. Kurt might be pulling away, but like hell was he just going to let his boyfriend sit at the side of his bed. Not after what they've just been through this past week. So, he was scooting over a bit, moving his hand to tug on the collar of Blaine's shirt, to get him to lay with him, so he could wrap his arms around the other boy.

"Blaine, sweetheart, if you hadn't been affected, you probably would have... been with me," he shuddered at the thought, reaches his arms out to wrap around his boyfriend. "I never would have forgiven myself if that happened."

That sob and what Blaine said next, however? That had Kurt going silent for a moment, shifting around and pulling Blaine closer until he could use the other boy's shoulder as a pillow instead of what he'd been laying on earlier, his eyes half-lidded as he just absently lets them wander the room, eventually coming to rest on Blaine's clothes, a fond smile crossing his face.

"I've got to say, your ability to color coordinate even when such a mess is...

Blaine doesn't expect to be pulled down so suddenly, but luckily he manages not to flail about or anything that might hurt Kurt. It does not take him long to settle by his boyfriend's side. He wraps his arms around Kurt as well, glad he can finally hold Kurt in his arms.

"I still wish I could have done something...I was the one who found you. Even without my memories of you...it felt awful to find you like that."

He doesn't protest at all when Kurt snuggles up closer. Instead, he secures his arms around Kurt, making sure that he's secure in his arms as they relax. Though Kurt's comment about his clothes does make him raise an eyebrow.

"Kurt...what are you talking about? I just threw some clothes on. I don't think I'm wearing anything that's matching..."

Because Kurt not seeing that is a distressing thing...
