Hanna is currently wandering himself because his excitement of the lay of the land hasn't dwindled yet. In fact, its actually grown during his stay. He's looking for things, because despite the small amount of requests he's recieved, each of them were kind of difficult. He hadn't found a book that talked about Oberon and his magical powers yet, which was still proving to be quite difficult, and while he had found a book that told him about Plantain, he still wasn't able to locate it. Among other requests were pixie sticks, which he would probably withhold some as a sort of 'tax' when he found them, and more piping for the bookstore's plumbing, which was shoddy at best.

At the moment he's trying not to get frustrated, because while he has the pictures on his PCD of both piping and plants, he hasn't had any luck all day. Close to just quitting for now, Hanna is smacking his head against the side of a building, grumbling under his breath.

This would be so much more fun with his partner around, or at least someone to tag along.

Well, this was someone new; at least in that Castiel had no idea who it was, so it couldn't have been someone he'd ever spoken to across the communicators. Also, he was pretty sure he'd never seen someone smack their head intentionally against a building. In his experience usually humans avoided such things.

And so, the angel was curious as to what might have prompted such behavior, unaware of the connection between the gesture and frustration. "What are you doing?"

Hanna kind of looks up at the sound of the others voice, his expression just oozing irritation and boredom. Its someone he hasn't talked to before, and normally he'd be more excited to meet someone, but seriously, his job was kind of pulling him down. If the Animus were smiling down on him, if they could like, smile and not hate everything, maybe they'd at least let him find the pixie sticks. Sugar sounded amazing right now.

"Uh, hitting my head against a wall?"

Was his intelligent answer, pointing out the obvious because usually a person knew the link between frustration and possible head trauma. Though he wasn't hitting his head that hard.

"Why? Doesn't it hurt?" Castiel asked, baffled. Humans were so weird sometimes, but maybe he was missing some hidden factor here.

Okay, so maybe he didn't know. This dude was weird, so of course, he's finally got all of his attention, leaning back against the wall he had previously been hitting his head against.

"People do that when they're frustrated. Its like, attempting to force your brain to think, or at least thats the idea behind it. And I wasn't banging it against the wall, that'd be stupid."

Castiel nodded, listening, taking in the information and making a mental note of it; somehow it sounded like the sort of thing Dean would do sometime. "It seems counterproductive. That's not the way the brain works and it could cause injury." But at least, yes, he wasn't banging it against the wall.

"Uh...it really is, but it does help sometimes. At least to get out frustration."

And Hanna would have talked Castiel's ear off except for he noticed something glowing out of the corner of his eye. Glancing down, the rune on his hammer was glowing, and oh, geez, that might explain it a bit. Though this guy looks completely normal. A quick check of the surrounding area clarifies that it is indeed 'mr.curious-dude'.

"Soooo, What are you, exactly? If you don't mind me asking, because oh man, that was kind of rude wasn't it? I'm sorry, I'll just shut my mouth now..."

He'll take Hanna's word for it, but he's definitely not going to try. When the other's gaze shifted to the hammer and some sort of glowing rune on it, Castiel looked as well, tilting his head slightly. Interesting; he wondered what it was for and how it had been made.

He looked back at Hanna as he started talking, fixing him with his usual intent stare as he listened. He wasn't offended at all, as it was a completely valid question, but then Hanna just kept talking. He waited until he finished before responding, addressing the first question only and ignoring the rest. "I'm an angel."

If he hadn't been so busy trying to shut himself up, when Castiel actual spoke, he wouldn't have given him the look he is now.

"Uh...That's flattering and all, bu- Oh. OH!"

Good job Hanna, he didn't just hit on you! Why would you even think that anyways, he didn't even say the line right!

"seriously? That is awesome!"

Castiel had absolutely no idea what Hanna was talking about or even implying. He only gets flirting or pickups or anything of the sort when it's very direct, and the other party misinterpreting something as a pickup line he's never heard of meant nothing to him. So he just gives a perplexed look in response, until Hanna replies with a more understandable answer.

He just nods, but then disregards the comment entirely. he's more interested in the hammer, and the glowing rune in specific. "What does that rune symbolize?" Nerd angel time.

Quite thankful that Castiel didn't actually catch his slip up, or rather, didn't understand it, Hanna follows his gaze to his hammer, pulling it out of his belt loop to show it to him. The little rune on the hammerhead is glowing a magenta, getting brighter the closer it is to the angel.

"Its just for detecting the paranormal. I use it for work, mostly. This ones pretty simple,"

Castiel peered at it with fascination, taking mental note of the shape and size in case he could use it in the future. It clearly worked even in this world, and such an effect would be very helpful for so many reasons.

"What is your work?" He sounded like a hunter, if he was using something that detected paranormal creatures.

Hanna grins at the question, letting the other study his hammer before shoving it back into his belt loop.

"I'm a paranormal investigator. Solve cases dealing with ghosts, vampires, werewolves, what ever. Its pretty awesome!"

Castiel brightened just slightly at that; it sounded like Hanna was a hunter, or at least his world's equivalent. With the exception of Dean and Sam's crazy grandfather, Castiel hadn't met a hunter yet he didn't like. "There are similar investigators in my world, though most go by the term 'hunter'. My friends are a team of them."

"Really? Hunter huh...That's a pretty sweet name for it."

Though Hanna doesn't really go around killing stuff, more like, figure out what the problem is and kindly ask what ever to GTFO because they are cramping his clients style. He's curious about it though, because maybe he could get some help with the animus then? An angel might have better luck, despite all that he's been told that one, he shouldn't try, and two, its impossible.

Castiel doesn't really understand most plans that don't end with 'kill it', so yeah. He doesn't much consider that Hanna could be able to resolve cases without necessarily having to do so, though he is curious a bit because Hanna sure doesn't look like the hunter type. Then again, neither had Jo.

"Is that what you mainly do in your world?" He knew that, at least in his world, some hunters were on the job full time and some had side ventures.
