Leaning on a swing set, her soul contained in a ring around her finger, Kyoko chews on an apple with great frustration. She'd looked high and low, and no witches were to be found. This is bad news for her; her soul has already started to contaminate. Though it seems to be slower to corrupt here than at home, a portion still is becoming dark.

She spots the angel almost immediately as he enters the area, her senses always alert for movement. Finishing off the very last scraps from the core of the apple, she tosses it on the ground.

"It's Angel Guy." She says, half to herself. She gives a small nod to Castiel, followed by a louder "Hey".

Upon sensing her presence, which was distinctive enough now that he knew what to look for, Castiel had started her way. He wasn't entirely sure why, but she was one of the few he actually kind of liked here.

He nodded at her in greeting as well, at ease enough with her to come close enough to stand in his usual 'I'm too close for conversation but not quite close enough to be completely creepy' way (he reserved 'I'm too close for conversation and totally in your face being a creeper' for Dean, after all.) "Hello, Kyoko."

She stood her ground, but her stance was less aggressive than if she faced someone else. He was an angel, after all; the paragon of good in her world. Even if she fell out of faith a long time ago, she still trusted him a bit more than others. The closeness was a little much, however, but she seems to take little notice as she leans forward to peer at him.

"What'cha doing around here? Hunting for the devil?"

Castiel didn't at all notice any level of uncomfortable his proximity might be making her; he simply liked being close enough to be able to talk quietly and to see the other person's eyes while he stared at them. Was that so weird?

At the question, he shook his head. "No. I've spoken to my brother more than enough lately." Castiel was all Lucifer'd out, and would be for the next forever. "I'm exploring."

Slightly. Kyoko wasn't a people person, but he's an angel, she surmises. Her eyes flip wide open in shock at his answer.

"Wait...that bastard is your brother?! What the hell!"

Her muscles tense up. If this guy is Satan's brother, then who knows how evil he may be.

Oh, that reaction. He'd gotten used to everyone already knowing about the angels' relationships, but it seems she hadn't been informed yet. "Yes. All angels are siblings. Lucifer is my second-oldest brother."

Instantaneously her spear appears in her hand, pointed at Castiel's jugular. Her muscles are fully tense now, a ferocious expression directed right at him.

"So what, you're working for him as a family favor?"

Well, he should have known better; he was was getting to used to this place and the people in it, and he was letting his guard down too much. Brilliant.

He really wasn't sure if her spear could actually injure him, but he wasn't all too interested in taking the chance. His sword dropped from his sleeve into his hand but he didn't make any move to use it, intending to just leave if he had to, but attempting to talk his way out of it first. She had reason to be suspicious, after all. "No. Lucifer and I don't work together."

A swordsman. Quite nostalgic for Kyoko, but that was the least of her concern. At his response, she pauses, thinking it over in her head. She wasn't one to trust, but he didn't seem like he was lying. And she wasn't sure if taking on an angel would be beneficial towards her perfect fight-winning record, no matter how much she was itching to move.

A moment passes, and she drops her spear, still staring into his eyes.

"You're not on his side or some shit?"

Castiel was patient as she considered, watching her carefully for any sign that he would need to act. Finally she dropped her spear a bit, but he didn't lose any tension and still considered getting out of there now that he had an open chance.

However, he held his ground and answered her question again. He wanted this fact very clear. "No. We will never be on the same side."

Her stare was pointed right at him, scrutinizing him for any signs of deceit. She found none, and therefore allowed her muscles to relax once again, the spear disappearing into her ring.

"Good. One devil is enough. If you were with him, I'd be kicking your ass right now."

He seemed to be clear enough.

When her spear disappeared he allowed his sword to do so as well, returning it to it's place in his coat. Otherwise, though, he remained tense, and the cessation of any immediate threat prompted a comment that might have been just slightly disdainful in tone. "If I had any allegiance with him, I wouldn't have warned you of his presence to begin with." He ignored her threat entirely, unbothered by it and still not entirely sure she really would pose any sort of risk to him.

"Dunno, you could be a traitor or spy for him. Gotta keep suspicious, you know?"

She's a bit more relaxed now, her hands behind her head, purposefully ignoring the disdain in his voice. She could see no threat here.

"If I go around just listening to what everyone around here's saying blindly, I'll end up dead."

"You'll also end up dead if you threaten the wrong being in such a way." It was fact, nothing more, though he did say it pointedly. He was a little embarrassed at being caught off guard, not that he would admit it or even really realized that was what he was feeling. However, she was right to be suspicious, and he couldn't fault her for that.

"I'm not going to just stand here and let a damn Satan-worshiper just kill me. How dumb is that?"

Kicking a little at the ground before her feet, she looked up towards the sky. Kyoko wasn't good with emotions, so his embarrassment went unnoticed.

"What exactly were you exploring for anyway?"

Considering the embarrassment was manifesting entirely as irritation, it was hard to notice anyway. He wasn't done yet though. "Such a weapon may not even be a danger to some here. You should be certain you aren't antagonizing someone you can't harm."

There, warning done. He'd both wanted to make a point and advise her to be careful about who she picked a fight with and he accomplished both, so he went ahead and answered her question. "I was looking into which locations had what functions, in case it was ever important."
