Characters: Ranma Saotome and YOU!
When: March 6-12
Where: Ranma's mind
Rating: PG-13 normally, but can be raised all the way to R.
Summary: Be careful of where you tread, for you never know what you'll encounter within the depths of such an unpredictable individual.
Upon entering Ranma's dream, the first thing you would see are
an impressive Japanese compound fenced off by tall and thick stone walls.. Surrounding the area is a large, dark, and foreboding forest with a very tall mountain visible in the distance.
The Tendo Compound
You can choose to enter the compound. Going through the door will have you be greeted in by Kasumi Tendo, who will show you in. As you go inside, you will pass by Soun and a panda playing Shogi. Once inside, Kasumi will serve you tea and cookies while chatting you up, telling you stories about Ranma's adventures. Alternately you can watch them with her on TV... which will include his life in Adstringendum. You can choose to go out at any time you wish.
You could also break through the walls or jump over it, where Nabiki Tendo will offer to give you a tour for a fee. If you manage to do so, she will take you to various parts of the house and give commentary on the notable history of it. Various memories and feelings of Ranma will also flash through these areas. The last stop is the dojo, where you will see Akane training and cursing Ranma's name under her breath. Interacting with her will reveal more things about Ranma, either through her mouth or through a flash of memories.
Notably though, she won't take you to the furo, Ranma's and Genma's room, or Happosai's room unless you ask her about it and bribe her more. If you do take those paths, then be warned as the rating of the stories will be bumped all the way to R due to nudity, perversion, and the content of Ranma's nightmares.
If you refuse to pay her, she will call her sister Akane and have you evicted from the compound (and the dream if you choose). No, you cannot stop her from smashing you out of the property with a mallet or a kick as Ranma himself never did, viewing this punishment as an unstoppable force. This will land you in the forest outside.
The forest- for those who have been sent here or for those who chose this path. Know that once you're in, you cannot turn back.
As you enter the forest, you will meet a tiny, shriveled-up old crone with a huge walking stick and an equally small and shriveled up old man in a pink ninja pajamas smoking a pipe. They will each offer to be your guide after introducing themselves.
If you pick the old man, he will show you around the forest while harassing you if you are female and insulting you if you are male. In the forest, you will see giant animals roaming around... marking this place as Ryugenzawa. He will then show you various parts of Ranma's childhood while laughing at his pupil's misfortunes under Genma. If you choose to follow him all the way, you will eventually arrive at the an enormous lake. The old man will then ask if you wished to see something entertaining. Whatever your answer may be, he will push you into the water... where you will meet the slumbering Yamato no Orochi. The Yamato no Orochi will then show you a montage of Ranma's many victories and defeats, culminating with the one of Saffron before he sends you out of the dream.
If at any point you choose to abandon your annoying guide before reaching the lake, you will then encounter a female Ranma running away from a glowing man with white, blue, and pink hair. Helping her by encouraging her will treat you to a reconstruction of how Ranma beat this man, while helping her by beating the man will make her storm off in a fit of irritation. If you choose the former, that female Ranma will then either guide you out of the dreamscape or to Jusenkyo, depending on what and how you ask her. If you chose the latter though, you can opt to chase after her, which will lead you to the lake with Orochi in it. She will then see you and push you into the water out of annoyance, no matter who you are.
If you choose the old woman, she will lead you on a path through the forest. You will also see gigantic animals here as well. The memories you will see here are ones of Ryoga, Ukyo, and Shampoo hunting him down, along with various training ones after he came to Nerima. Those will end once she takes you out of the forest, where you will see a ludicrous amount of springs with bamboo poles jutting out of them. A spiritually-sensitive person would hear the screams and moans of a thousand souls trapped in the lake, while a magically-inclined person would feel natural yet unnatural force that is the twisted chaotic magic that binds the souls in the springs... and that the magic has a life of its own.
She will then warn you to stay away from those springs as it would curse you or claim you after mentioning that it is Jusenkyo. Ignoring those warnings will have you cursed and then evicted out of Ranma's mind via an Ashrua that suddenly appears. Ranma will know that you've been in his mind, as well as what progress you've made if you were foolish enough to do that.
She then gives you a choice: to go to the Amazon Village or go to Phoenix Mountain and that you cannot go back once you choose a path. If you choose the former, she will escort you there, where you will then be treated to Ranma's memories about the Amazons. Taro will suddenly attack you after that. If you lose, you get kicked out of the dream, no questions asked. But if you beat him, you will unlock more memories and dreams of Ranma. Thenfor the rest of the dream, you will then be treated to a feast and a show as you wait for yourself to wake up.
Choosing the latter on the other hand leads to Ranma's darkest memories, along with his fears. If you choose this path, the old woman will then leave you to walk there yourself. Once you DO get there, you are met with a pretty violet haired girl named Shampoo with two giant broadswords forbidding entry along with a white winged woman named Kiima. They will try to make you turn back with a fight, but if you win then you can head on to the top.
On the top of a mountain is a pair of two metallic doors wrapped around in chains. The screams of a child can be heard inside, begging for help. Blocking the path though is Ranma's greatest adversary... Saffron. Here, there is no more choice but to fight this humanoid phoenix. Losing means being kicked out of the dream. Winning though, means getting access to the metal doors... which magically open a bit after Saffron's defeat.
Going inside those doors will show you a void with the worst of Ranma's life, his greatest failures, and his greatest fears. The most gruesome image would be his training in the neko-ken... which is the source of the pleading voice for help. Unfortunately, you cannot help him no matter how hard you try.
The current Ranma then appears to you and talks to you about what you've seen and then asks you to keep it all a secret. Then he will ask you to get out of here before it comes... but before he is able to finish saying that a monstrous saber-tooth tiger with bat you out of Ranma's dream realm.
The last thing you'll see is Ranma grimacing in apology.
