The strange creatures don't scare Rhode particularly. But clearly the tea party is the more desirable destination to be at, and so she ducks a clawed and skips over a slashing talon, closing the gate and flinging herself into a seat at the table, looking at the host with wide, curious eyes.
"Rhode." She corrects, leaning her elbows on the table, knees on the chair so that she's reaching over to take a cupcake. Enticement one hundred percent effective.
"No I won't." She leans back and pours herself some tea, before using her finger to scoop some of the frosting off the cupcake and lick it, legs swinging from her seat as she looks at Break.
"There are monsters." Rhode points out the obvious, peeling the wrapper from her cupcake and nibbling at it while she sips her tea. "Your nightmares must not be very nice if this is a nice dream."
Rhode laughs and sets the remains of her mangled sweets and the tea down, reaching a hand for Break. She hops off the chair, looking at him expectantly.
And to illustrate, his own Mad Hatter flares above them. The tophat is bedecked with cards, roses, pins, barbed wire and bloody ribbons. The cloak is clasped with a mirror, a skull, chains. Other than that, it's nothing, but a disembodied, floating eye. It spans easily over the entire party area, tattered coat flapping.
"Mister Break, isn't it?"

He offers her a plate of cupakes, enticing her closer.
"Not at a teaparty like this."
Reply
"You don't look very tasty." But the cupcakes do.

But he holds the plate steady, and grins when she takes one, setting it down and nabbing one for himself.

"Is this your dream?"

He nods, happily.

He points out, happily.
"And you know what my nightmares are like."

"Do I? I don't remember." She sets her tea down and leans forward, attentively. "Tell~ me?"

Something outside the little enclosure burbles.

Rhode looks at her host, tilting her head. "You'll guide me, won't you?" it seems like such an innocent request, it could almost be believed.
Reply
His tone could almost be sweet.

"Aren't you coming, then?"
Reply
He stands, and offers her his arm.

"Why do you dream of monsters?"

"And because they know me."
