Summary: Since they're making a game of pretending to be enemies, David and Fox can't publicly act like a couple, so they've decided to meet in private, somewhere that isn't involved in their game.
David hadn't even been in Adstringendum for two weeks, but he had already begun to miss his family, partially because he'd spent two holidays alone. He was waiting for Fox on the first floor of the skyscraper, holding his locket open in one hand and alternating watching the doors and the windows and half expecting her to still find a way to sneak up on her. But that was an endearing quality in his mind, and if she managed to sneak up on him, it just meant he would have to find a way to one-up her later. Their competitions were a game he greatly enjoyed, even if he would need a bit of a break from this new one every now and then so he and Fox could spend time together without pretending they hated each other.
