Anko let another knife thunk into the post she'd set up, a good ten meters away from her, hitting the center. Not dead center, she mused, eying it critically. But then, when one was throwing converted kitchen knives, accuracy was the first thing to go.

There was someone behind her, she realized. Slipping another knife from the sheath up her sleeve, she turned to look.

Just the new girl, she realized after a moment. Blonde hair... she'd almost thought for a moment it could be someone else--but no. Anko tossed the knife she'd armed herself with at the post, hitting only the outer circle before turning, crossing her arms as she faced the younger woman. Winry, that was it. "Hey."

Winry's eyes widened a bit as she watched Anko. It wasn't often that you saw someone who could do something like that. Well, at least not back in Rizenbul. Sure Edward and Alphonse had never been shy of practicing martial arts around them but they never used any weapons in front of her. As for the rest of Rizenbul...well they had always been quiet country folk. The only person she'd ever seen using any sort of throwing knife was Ran Fan.

"Hey. That's pretty cool." she said, looking at the knife that had connected with the post.

"Hm?" She shot a look at the post, checking that the knife had indeed landed where it should have. Her aim was her advantage in most cases, it wouldn't do to let it go to waste here. "Ah, thanks. Years of practice." A little natural talent to boot, but. Nothing to brag about.

"You do anything?" She gestured vaguely at the post. "With weapons and stuff, I mean."

Winry gave a sheepish smile and shook her head. "I've been told I'm pretty mean with a wrench but that's about it." And that mostly game from Ed and Alphonse. Really, she wasn't sure how it was that she managed to hit her mark with those two when they were very talented fighters. She think it had more to do with them instinctively seizing up in terror after years of abuse when they were younger. She really ought to stop taking advantage of that...

"So you've been doing it that long? Is this common in your world?"
