Summary: Rhode convinces Merlin and Break to go on a Scavenger hunt. Somehow it all ends in pudding. What?

The day had started with pirate hats and treasure maps. A good start to any day, really, even if Break looked, if possible, a little more pale than usual, and Rhode perhaps just a little more smug about something. Merlin at least seemed to be his cheerful self as the adventure began.
Encountering Mikk had been a stroke of luck, and as Rhode called orders for the great cow hunt, using Break as a piggy back vehicle, the odds had seemed good that the scavenger hunt would go well. But somehow Mikk had slipped away and the cows had vanished and so, they moved on.
Oddly enough Allen wasn’t at home when they went for him, though there was some suspiciously loud banging from the back of the castle. Break’s pointedly loud questions along the lines of “ARE YOU SURE THIS IS WHERE ALLEN LIVES, RHODE? Won't he be ANGRY if why TRY TO KIDNAP HIM?" almost certainly had nothing to do with that failure, of course.
And so there had been a minor set back here and there, but they had found a promising book for Merlin and a few of the other items. But then, it really was a mystery, how it had all ended up like this.
That being, with Rhode and Merlin knee deep in chocolate pudding, Break riding Lero a good five feet above their heads and dodging the pudding the little girl flung at him now and again as she chided both men.
“...and we never got a pony!” Rhode concluded her rant, kicking more pudding at Merlin and flinging a last bit at Break before crossing her arms and sitting down right where she stood in the chocolate substance, clearly sulking.
