Summary: Originally, Rei's senses were overwhelmed by Sebastian's evil aura, and she did not concentrate on Ciel. Today, she'll try to understand his intentions... away from Sebastian.
Ciel wasn't used to walking for very long distances, but this time he'd brought shoes with much lower lift. His coat and hat kept him warm where the scattered patches of fall sunlight did not. "Early" would be his best bet, though it was possible Rei would have the same idea. It would not do to present himself as weaker than he was.
Without Sebastian, Ciel was more vulnerable, but he was a far cry from the helpless innocent he had been. Ciel absolutely did not anticipate Rei -- or anyone else -- trying something, but paranoia had kept him alive for the past three years, and one didn't survive behind a poker face without a few cards up one's sleeve.
Ciel arrived at the location, settling down on a mossy rock and leaning back against a tree. His knees parted, cane resting between them, both gloved hands folded neatly over the metal handle.
Now, to wait.
