The young master was asleep, and so he had time to himself. Making his way outside, he waited with a bowl of milk and shreadable meat for the Yodare to make their way over the section. He was sure they'd be able to smell it from here, even if he was suppose to come to them. He was about to step off, when he felt it.

It wasn't Liz. No, it was, but then again it wasn't.

Why was he suddenly smirking, that eerie curve of lips settled upon his visage. Oh, that would be interesting. Setting down the bowls, he stepped away, a little disappointed he would not be able to see such beauties.

But his young master was crying out to him in spirit and in voice. Such an attractive scream, but he hadn't time to enjoy it. He leapt from the window once in it, diving towards the creature that was Liz and with a brutal kick, he sent it flying against the wall. His tall and imposing body nearly covered over him.

What will you do, Ciel Phantomhive? What is more important? What can you afford to lose? What are your orders?

It had probably saved Ciel's life, that the thing had paused to get a better grip on him, retracting its claws, reacting to the intruder in the room. Even so, it dragged him along the floor for a few feet before Ciel was dislodged from its talons, and he lay crumpled on the floor, blood staining the carpet, dark and sickly.

The boy was pale, but no tears showed, and the only noise was his labored breathing. The creature that had been Liz had been dazed, but only momentarily, and it was already getting to its feet. The gun lay blood-slick and shining several feet away, but even if it were in his hand, he was shaking too badly for his aim to be true.

Mismatched, uncovered eyes locked onto Sebastian's, and Ciel clamped a hand over his own shoulder, applying pressure to the wounds. He was momentarily unable to form words, but the Angel was moving, surging back towards them with deadly intent.

"Sebastian." It was breathless, but cold. It's her. He didn't have to say it. They both knew ( ... )

He hadn't expected that as Ciel was suddenly ripped out from under him, glancing at him being pulled away, already up on his feet and rushing towards Ciel to grasp at him. But the other had already dislodged his tiny lord, and the blood was filling his nose, making his head tilt down in utter delight. No, not yet. He locked eyes with him when he looked up, trying to relieve him of any more pain. Fingers curled over his hand and pressed, already removing the handchief from his pocket.

But he didn't have the time to sling it around his shoulder or tie it off, instead hoisting him up and leaping back as it reared. Hearing his name, his eyes adverted back down, and he set him back down. The cold voice was more than enough. Yes, it's her.Fingers slipped down against his cheek and then upwards as he stood once more, having Ciel under his legs as he stood over him. There wasn't much he could do at the particular moment. A volley of knives shot out from his hands, trying to slow it down, or stab into its joints, but the thing wasn't wavering ( ... )

Ciel went paler as Sebastian moved him, but he didn't make a sound. The torn muscle and shattered bone in his shoulder and arm were already nearly going numb as his body shut down. Shock, he remembered. He was losing too much blood.

His given name cut through the fog that was clouding his brain, and Ciel looked up from where he lay crumpled like a broken doll to the oncoming threat. There was no doubt in his mind that Sebastian would protect him. Fear never crossed his mind.

"It's an Angel now," he whispered, and his voice was tight but remarkably clear, without hesitation or stutter. He remembered what the boy had said. Heart or head, burn it to ash.

"Sebastian. Take out that thing's heart." The creature shrieked, beating its wings, tearing at every part of Sebastian it could reach, bright yellow eyes crazy and maddened. Ciel's voice was hard and dark, without a shred of mercy -- or perhaps, mercy was exactly what he was accomplishing.

"That's an order."

It would be one less mouth and one less duty to provide to his young master, but there would always be more, or perhaps Ciel would learn more. His lips parted in a sickly glee, and serrated teeth gleamed behind his parted lips. His hand rose slowly to his lips, tugging off his glove with his teeth.

Letting it drop to the ground, Sebastian allowed the beast to rip at him and tear at him, though he deftly avoided any contact with those sharp talons. That owl was no longer Liz, no longer part of the Phantomhive family and even if so, he had no obligations but to his lord.

"Yes, my lord."

Striding forward, the contract mark glowed brightly, filling the room with an eerie violet glow before it was sickly muffled into the angel's chest. He shoved, only reaching up to grip at a foot, dragging it down if it tried to flee and grasped the heart.

With one jerk of his arm, it was free and beating in his hand.

The Angel, mad as it was, never seemed to realize what was coming as Sebastian moved towards it. It screamed and lashed out, sending droplets of the demon's blood spraying the carpet and curtains. Despite the cruel talons raking him, it would not help the creature in the end ( ... )

All that blood was putting him on edge, having not tasted any in such a long time, but his control surpassed his urges. He didn't need it. He only wanted it. The heart beat in his hand pulsed frantically, but died just as he had expected, pulse dulling down into nothing. Fingers closed around it tightly, rupturing the sides until it oozed blood. It was dropped and stepped on, blood already covering him shamefully ( ... )

"Don't lick your fingers," Ciel murmured with the edge of disgust. Like some sort of animal, Sebastian... but that would always be his own personal opinion. His stomach turned, and he grit his teeth as Sebastian looked over his wounds, then tied them off. He could feel his own heart beating, thready but strong, pulsing painfully against the cloth.

When he met Sebastian's chest his eyelids drifted half-shut, stilling any noises of pain while he was moved to the bed, only to snap open again at the first crack and break of bone.

The mismatched eyes fixed on the horrific scene, and he felt hot and dizzy, the blood suddenly rushing in his ears, the dead, glassy eyes, the smell of blood -- even with the shock, everything stood out in harsh relief.

It wouldn't take long. He would wait.

"Take it outside. Burn it to ash." It came out as a hiss.

How cruel. He only wanted a taste, but he listens and obeys, continuing to tear the angel apart into pieces and throw it onto the sheet. Only when his arms are covered in blood up to his elbows and the rest of him is splattered with blood does he gather it up into his arms, glancing over his shoulder at his young lord.

"As you wish." Out the window he goes and lands with a neat little thud. The yodare are waiting, smelling all that blood, but he shoos them away, making sure he's away from the house before setting it on the ground. Candelabra in hand, his fingertips raise around the fire, beckoning it to life. The fire would sweep down, covering the wrapped up angel, sheet and all, and flickered over the body.

Fire danced in those suddenly lilac eyes, lips cracking a little at everything simply burning away. Another step back was for control and another to restrain. One more catapulted him up towards the window, crouching on it. He kept the fire burning hot, one hand mildly held out before him.

Though Ciel had no idea of how Sebastian's unique chemistry would interact with the poison, he had a singular lack of desire to find out. After all, such a creature would be completely useless to him. He showed no interest at all in the proceedings, even as the fire rushing into being, lighting up and casting an orange glow on the ceiling.

Slowly, he looked up, finding that bloodstained hand held out to him. His mind was swimming in pain, but he felt numb and tired. His legs wouldn't work, even to stand up and take the few steps to Sebastian.

Instead, he mutely lifted a hand -- just as he had three years ago -- reaching out towards those bloodstained fingers.

The orange glow was pushing back the purple that was disappearing from his hand. He would glove it long before arriving at the clinic, but for now that gentle blood stained hand would curl upwards and he walked towards his young master, taking that hand into his.

Arm sliding under his legs, his body curled against his, craddling him to his chest like something to be treasured. Always dragging him into darkness, he would be the only thing he would ever need. He would never tell him what he thought, that he told him so, that it was often his own fault for falling for such happy memories. Everything would fade away eventually. In the end, he would only have Sebastian.

And Ciel would be his. "Time to go."
