Tens or hundreds, the man had said. The way he'd talked about them, they sounded far too interesting to ignore. Kamui didn't know what they were, and he didn't care in the slightest. Alphonse Elric's well-meant warnings were completely lost to him. These creatures seemed to have been created solely to be destroyed, and far be it from him to deny them that.

The masked scientist had mentioned experimentation once or twice, and now this man was making monsters with injections. Kamui wanted nothing more than to test this artificial strength. He was superior; now it was time to find out just how superior he was.

And what comes across Kamui? It's a dog, but definitely not the kind of dog anyone would want to happen upon. For one, the animal is clearly out of its mind, and for two, it has three heads.

Three. It's body was almost vulpine, stretched out behind its shoulders with a graceful slope that was somewhat obscured by the ribcage puncturing out of its skin and wrapping around its spine like some kind of twisted vine.

Kamui's got his work cut out for him, not that he won't enjoy it. The three-headed dog's skin is falling off in loose chunks, the bone of its sternum growing out to act as a breastplate of sorts against its heart. It definitely looks every bit the monster it was made out to be, and with this drooling, snarling mess its heads seemed to be into, it didn't seem like it would take long before it attacked.

A veritable cerberus. The Yato stared at it long and hard and decided he liked it. It might have made a good companion for Hinowa, had it not smelled so strongly of gore, decay, and mindless bloodlust. He didn't mind the smell, of course. But Hinowa had so little an appetite as it was. Oh well. It would just have to meet its death then.

His umbrella floated absently above him as the clouds partially obscured the sun. He fought with his bare hands, not that they weren't enough, but it meant close quarters combat. He doubted the creature would mind.

Fluidly moving into an alien martial arts stance, he smiled at the hideous monstrosity. And he motioned to it to come at him, almost as if he expected it to understand.

It snarled at the motion- whether or not the beast understood it or not wasn't really clear, but it moved anyway, quickly covering the ground between the two of them in order to get closer. The dog seemed to either only think with one brain, or really know how to cooperate with the two others, for its movements were precise, coordinated, and fluid.

The mouth on the right head opened as it got closer, exposing needle-sharp fangs and two tongues whipping about, trying to get in to take a good chunk out of his arm.

Kamui couldn't hope for better. If they'd been uncoordinated, this would have been far too easy. The balanced stride was a sign that this creature, even if it wasn't sane, was still a fighter.

That tasty arm would quickly be on the move, however, and as soon as the creature was in reach, Kamui ducked low, shoving the still open umbrella upward into the creature's three chins while he moved his free hand in a slicing motion intended to sever the head on the left.

Kamui's hand moved cleanly through wet muscle and the soft esophagus, severing the neck cleanly up through the spine. A dog head hit the ground with a dull thud not too much longer, jaws snapping in instinct, before falling still. The rest of the snarled at the pain before lunging forward with its paws, extending a sharp claws out to lash out toward Kamui underneath the umbrella as it quickly tried to be rid of the annoying accessory.

The spine that Kamui had severed already growing upward and branching off into a spire of bone, the flesh knitting itself together around it. Bone fragments grew up through it, fortifying the neck and turning even that into yet another weapon to be used.

Those claws sliced right on through the arm holding up the umbrella, taking Kamui's flesh and blood with them as the alien's smile only turned more sinister. He didn't even pause as the cuts began to bleed down his arm, not even to consider possible consequences. All he was thinking was: one head down, two more to go.

He promptly shoved one leg out from under himself and up under the animal, to punt the thing up and away and possibly pierce the protective bone plate over its heart.

The man was ridiculously strong- almost strong enough to be an angel himself, though the dog couldn't really process such information, simply be blown back at the impressive kick. The shield of sorts cracked under the impact and the dog was sent tumbling backward, regaining its footing faster than it should have any right to.

Through the cracks in the bone, new bone shards started to peek out, like plants growing at high speed through cracks on a pavement. The weeding bones bent at the chest, going backward and tangling around its shoulders, streaking down in its underbelly, almost to the point of giving it more armor, although the breastbone was now considerably weaker than it had been before the kick. Snarling, the dog crouched back, back legs kicking at the dirt before it attempted to launch itself at him again.

Once the thing was out of the way, he took a look at his injured arm. It was beginning to scab over. With a satisfied smirk, he turned his attention back to the creature, noting the growth where he'd cracked the bony plate. When it charged again, nearly soaring right at him, he lowered the umbrella and, for what he intended to be a very short time, closed it. He didn't even bother to charge the beast, its own momentum would be enough. As easily as any sword, the umbrella would catch it like nothing more than a shishkabob waiting to be put on the grill. Then when he had it where he wanted it, he'd go for the second head.

The angel ran into the closed umbrella, hardly even stopping, both of its heads still outstretched and snapping for him- the instrument sliced clean through its shoulder, emerging out of its back, but the beast paid it no heed.

With a long snarl, it jerked away with a massive strength, intent on getting the damn thing out of Kamui's hands so it could attack without having to worry about such an obtrusive thing getting in its way.

Not a chance, unfortunately for the monster. The sun was still out, even if it was partially obscured, and Kamui needed that umbrella. He'd rather not die against a creature like this. He had much, much bigger fish to fry. Instead, he gripped the umbrella's handle with both hands before slamming it and the creature into the ground. The ground would actually give way at the force of the blow, leaving a large crater behind. And directly after the collision, he would promptly open the umbrella, while the remains of the beast were still wrapped around it.

The ground bowed and cracked under the angel's weight, the beast groaning and flailing out with all four of its legs toward Kamui, even as the internal organs shifted around grotesquely with the opening of the umbrella, forcing the angel down and off of it.

The umbrella flung upward to once again protect Kamui from the sun's rays, splattering blood in a grotesque line as it moved through the air. He wasted no time in stomping down his foot, aiming to crush the center head.

The skull cracked underneath the pressure as Kamui's foot splintered bone and squished some of the brain. The beast howled with its one head, reaching to get his leg between its front paws and tear it off.

It'd reach his leg, might even be able to shove it aside, but Kamui's fist came down at the same time, ready to pulverize the final head.

Even if he managed to get that head (which he did, and it was a right mess on the floor), Kamui didn't seem to remember the precise rules of killing angels (if he was ever told in the first place). Rip out the heart of cut off the head. Cut off- not crush. As long as the blood could still flow, the flesh would knit itself back together.

The center head snapped up viciously at Kamui's arm, still half-crushed, bones growing out of the crater in its skull. The jaw wouldn't work quite right, wouldn't close all the way, but its teeth kept working at trying to reach Kamui's arm to do more damage from its position on the ground.
