Summary: Hawke received some really important text from Mustang, but he can't read it properly. What better way for a translation than going to the source?
It had taken Hawke some time to explain everything that he'd been through to Sohl. Time and a suspension of belief. It was one thing to travel through worlds, but an entirely different story to swallow that one's lover has been trapped on another world for more than a year when you just woke up with them yesterday. Hawke couldn't even use the age old excuse of "It was Human Magic," to explain it. He didn't think that the Animus were ever human. But he wasn't a shaman, so he couldn't say what they had been.
When Mustang's transmission came through, the blond didn't see it right away, but when he did, all he could do was turn the PCD this way and that, making such a face that Sohl couldn't help but laugh. In turn, Hawke continued his expression of confusion for a few more minutes before declaring the message a failure and they would have to go see Mustang and figure out what it meant. Mustang. The man Hawke loved to tease because of the reactions he received when there was an inkling of no pants or flirting. That bit of information Hawke was happy to share.
So the pair headed on over to Mustang's place, chatting and keeping an eye on their surroundings. The last thing Hawke was going to have happen was someone attack them while out in the open. It was bad enough it took some coaxing to bring Soh'lan this far. He wore one of his more conservative cloths, the one that looked more like a knee length kilt with his obsidian knife at his side and his hair was plaited today. It was as formal as he could think of for something that he thought was important. If the message hadn't been important, it wouldn't have been in words, would it?
