Summary: After Ed's fashion mishap and Al's failing to tell him just how bad he actually looked, he's been giving everyone the cold shoulder. Al has an apology to make.
Al finally found his brother in the makeshift library. Really, he reflected, if Ed wanted to be impossible to find, he shouldn't try the first place Al would naturally look. The former rehabilitation room had been restocked with bookshelves the brothers made out of scrap, and stuffed overly full of books from the Whipstaff library.
Alphonse fought down his hesitation. He couldn't stand any distance between them, or Ed not talking to him. His brother so rarely had his feelings hurt, Al hadn't considered what might have happened, but now that he considered it, he didn't know how he could have been so unthinkingly hurtful. He hadn't meant to, but that didn't make it any better.
Silently, Al sat down on the couch next to his brother, leaned in, and settled his head on his shoulder, scooting close.
"I'm sorry," he said quietly.
It was a start.
