She would have realized it pretty soon anyway. But it was nice of them to tell her. )
"Hey, Neji." There was a pause as she finished plating the first plate. Tenten held it out to him. "Breakfast? And I woke up, so I figured I might as well be up."
She glanced down the hall, wondering if the scents would bring anyone else out. Then she shrugged and served herself, taking a seat. "Did you leave any hot water?"

"I don't take that long, Tenten." He chastised, bristling, "Though Lee should be in there by now." Neji rummaged through the cupboards idly, pulling things out as he'd need them, "He shouldn't take long, however, so there's little need to worry about that."

She felt his chakra before she saw him, and Tenten turned to give him a cheerful wave. The turn was in time to catch him blush. She had to fight down the urge to grin at it, or tease. "Um good morning to you too, Lee."
Oh yeah. The glance was very telling. And they weren't angry with each other or seeming to be too stressed. That small bit of hope was getting even bigger. Quickly she dished up a plate for Lee and handed it over, brushing his hand in the process and trying to not grab it.

"Good morning, Lee." He replied as though for the first time, "Tenten made breakfast. Sit down and eat while I finish preparing tea."

He wasn't looking forward to this conversation. But Tenten deserved to know, and Lee wasn't the type to sit around quietly when there was something that needed to be done, potentially humiliating or no.
"So. Um. Tenten. There is something that I- well, that we- need to talk to you about."

She rejoined them at the table, and kept her expression innocent and calm. "Oh? Okay. Well, now's a good time. It's just us. What's up?" This should be interesting, though. She had more than a guess, especially seeing as Neji had never come to bed. ...How red would Lee get, anyway?

Well, he had decided that the direct route was the best way to go, a voice in his mind reminded him. He just hadn't expected Neji to be the one to take that route. Lee's cheeks flamed red, and he looked down at his plate as if it somehow held a solution that would make this situation less awkward. It didn't. Eventually he looked up at Tenten, still blushing.
"Um. Yeah. We... yeah." Nice going, Lee. That wasn't vague in the least.

He chewed thoughtfully, looking at a point past Tenten's ear. "Nothing in particular." He said eventually, glancing at Lee and wondering if the other shinobi would leave all the talking to him. "But regardless, Tenten, we won't forget all of us are a team in the process."

Though, he supposed, it was obvious enough- especially considering that Neji hadn't gone to bed last night. Lee's blush became permanent about when he realized that Tenten was probably very aware of that, and could probably piece together exactly why, considering what they'd just told her. Feeling Neji's gaze on him, Lee looked up, then nodded.
"We just wanted you to know."

She gave Neji a thankful glance, though. "Good. Thank you. I... I'm glad." She really didn't want to be left out or forgotten, and that was the risk here. That they wouldn't do it on purpose she knew. But they could easily get caught up in each other and then she'd be alone on the side.
Her grin went back to just a smile as Lee looked at her. "Thank you for that. I'm glad you two told me." Well, Neji had. But Lee had been trying too, at least.

This time, Neji was the one who flushed, and he drew away with an embarrassed cough, clearing his throat and hurriedly returning to his food with a quick semi-apologetic glance at Tenten.

Yeah, he was going to be blushing for the next forever. Lee cast a look at Neji that was equal parts 'did you really have to do that now' and 'would you please do that again' (the second part of which could 90% be blamed on the Animus), then determinedly turned his attention back to his plate and set about pretending that nothing had happened. Eventually, he regained enough composure to speak.
"We are still Team Gai. Nothing will change that."

Her voice wasn't angry, just wryly amused. She got up and put her plate in the sink. "I'll clean it later. Have fun. And no, it won't change who we are."
With a shake of her head, but wearing a small smile, Tenten headed out of the room.
