Characters: Beyond Birthday jam_lover_13 and Matsumoto Rangiku hainyan
When: January 21th
Where: Some random house with a big room to dance in
Rating: PG?
Summary: During the masquerade Ran and Beyond said that they wanted to dance with each other again. So before this world ends they wan't to have at least one last dance.
( Even if the world is falling to pieces around you, dance, dance until it's over.... )

Rangiku had informed Jean of where she would be going. He seemed to trust her judgment enough. She donned the lovely dressed from the ball one more time. This time wish her pink shawl and the locket Jean had given to her for Christmas.

She had placed the kimono from Rinoa over herself to keep warm as she flashstepped to the location given to her by B. She kept lpw, not wanting to fall through a room again.

It wasn't long before she showed up, not even out of breath]

B-san?

"I'm here. Hello, Rangiku-san", he said, only adding the "san", because she did so. He was very flexible with this.
"I guess we have no music...", he muttered, "but it's surely going to be okay somehow."
Beyond added a little smile to the last words. It would be. After all this was the last dance they would dance in this world. Which wasn't really a reason for it to be good, but Beyond didn't want to waste a thought on that now.

She nodded. Rangiku was thinking about the same things he was. She felt comfort in hearing him say "-san," but shook her head.

"iie. Ran-chan. Kudasai." She couldn't let a friend call her "-san."

"And we don't need music. You lead. I will follow."

"Okay Ran-chan", Beyond nodded, "May I ask for this last dance?"
With that he offered her his hand, like a real gentleman would do.
Somehow this reminded him of some drama movie on TV. Exept for the fact that he was sure, no music would come out of nowhere when they started dancing.

"Yes..." she nodded, giving her hand to him and moving close. She felt that tightened not in her throat again and the sting in her eyes, but she swallowed it back and just smiled.

Beyond started leading the dance. He imagined the song they had been dancing to back in the event. A while he stayed quiet, but then he just couldn't help saying it.
"...I can't believe this should be the end.."

She followed just as well as she had back at Christmas.

"They have the power to do so... We're simply just toys to them I guess... and they've gotten bored."

He just wanted to find some excuse why this couldn't be happening, it just couldn't.

She shrugged, making sure to flare where she thought best for the dance.

"Then they could also just bring more persons to Adstringendum..."

"And have unneeded and unwanted being using up their resources. The Animus are cruel." She really didn't like the idea either, but after hearing his grumble, she lightly pecked his cheek, hoping it would calm him down.

Beyond blushed slightly. Not much, but he did.
It was just the fact this was all in a much more friendly atmosphere than he ever knew it.
"Mhm...They really are", he said silently.

She did a short spin under his arm, sighing a little.

"they take things away you care about.. and give yo false hopes... at the same time playing mean tricks on you."

One though immediatly crossed Beyond's mind and he nearly would've said it loud.
,That desription reminds me of myself...'
"I always wonder if they maybe do have reasons for it... Something we never though of...", what was finally came out of his mouth. He really did ask himself that question, but even if so, it wouldn't make any diffrence for how he though about the animus.

"I would wonder if maybe it is that they need to do these things to remind themselves that they exist. Like... the saying: "if a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, did it really fall? without someone here to acknowledge their existence, are they really here?" Rangiku obviously was rather smart, she just constantly hid it.

"That sounds intresting. I can imagine that very well. I guess I'd even understand them if it was true. But anyway we have no way to ask them and in this situation...", he doesn't finish the sentences.
