Maybe it was the boy's understanding of Darkness that allowed it to cling to him more now, or maybe, just maybe it was Roxas' Darkness inside of the boy that allowed Riku to sense him. He was so used to the blond that he could pick up the faint echo, buried as it was beneath Sora's light.
Which was why the older teen wasn't too surprised by the sudden hug, why he's just opening his arms and catching Sora, thunking back against the door from the force of it, a startled, strangled sound escaping his throat. Because really, Sora's pretty strong when he puts his mind to it, and that had been more of a tackle than a hug.
"You're not gonna start crying, are you?" he asked absently, reaching a hand up to ruffle the boy's hair, his tone pretty light and teasing despite that unease still clutching at his chest. At least now that he had an inkling of where the boy was, he could avoid the subject of his blindness like the plague. Could pass it off as being some Darkness thing, like it had been back when he and Sora met back home.

Riku really was soggy, he realized, once arms were weaseled around him. On an offhanded note, he cursed inwardly. Of course Riku would be taller. Just figured. Stupid genes. Sora's parents had been shorter than Riku's so whatever.
He hadn't been planning on it no, but now that it's mentioned, the kid has to start fighting off the sting in the back of his nose, and the lump in his throat. No way man, he's not gonna cry. Even if his eyes are just a little misty. Way to go, Riku. He'll just pull back and grin up at him... Only to notice the blindfold first off. But uh, he can mention that later. For now, he's just hooking his hand around the crook of Riku's elbow, and hauling him towards the living room. Nice and warm in there.
"I'm not crying. Where've you been all this time? Did you split up with the king? New clothes... Did you visit the fairies too? Oh dang, do you want something dry to wear? I'm sure Leon--err Squall has some; I know mine won't fit--" Yeah. He's sort of rambling. Maybe from the fact he's nearly deleriously happy, or the little note that he really is trying not to cry. Talking seems to help. Sorry for bombarding, yo.

"Right," he knows for a fact the other boy fell to his knees when they'd met in the World that Never Was, so he knew the boy had to be biting back tears, at least, which is really why he allowed a smirk to cross his face, even as they made their way into another room, a warmer room. And, amazingly, even after all this time, his ability to follow Sora's babbling hasn't deteriorated. In fact, it calms him down, cheers him up.
He really has missed him.
"No, I didn't visit the fairies. I grew Sora, had to get some new clothes eventually," and he's just standing in the room now, well aware of his damp clothes and... well... shivering a little. "... Dry clothes would be nice, if Leon has some. Otherwise... I can see if my fire spells can do anything."
... Is he avoiding those first questions? The ones about where he's been? Why yes, yes he is. Will keep doing so until Sora sits him down and demands answers. He doesn't really want to think about it, wants instead to just relax and get used to the fact that Sora's here again.

"Well I dunno; I had grown when I woke up, and the fairies gave me new clothes. I looked kinda stupid in the smaller ones." He'd paused, thinking back... But ended up leaning over and grabbing the blanket from being strewn across the floor. But he nodded, waving a hand as his voice petered out; he'd left the room and hopped up the stairs. He'll be back down in a few.
And back he came! White tee and black pants in hand, dumping them on the corner of the couch, before flopping onto it. He didn't look misty-eyed anymore, not that Riku could see or tell. But whatever...
"..Then.. where were you?"
